5.0 out of 5 stars Another Beautiful CD by Andrea!!!!!
WOW Andrea is truly a Beautiful CD. This is Andrea's 6th "pop" release (4th In the USA) and it is really his most "pop" album to date. The others are more "POPRA" a combination of tenor singing and POP, while this CD, Andrea, is pop through and through (with the exception of In canto, which is classical). It really shows Bocelli's versility to not only be a wonderful tennor but aslo a wonderful pop singer. Its one beautiful song after another.
hear is a song by song look at the CD,
1) Dell'Amore Non Si Sa Love it very melodrma-ish, it will be a HIT for sure.

2) L'Attesa. A very pretty song and very radio friendly

3) Un Nuovo Giorno. Has HIT written all over it, nice pop style singing.

4) Tu Ci Sei. Very Good song; ladies this is like Bo singing in your ear while your dancing with him :) Just picture that when you listen to this song. Great vocal control to sing so high and soft at the same time.

5) Sin Tu Amor. This is done in spanish, I LOVE IT, love the blend of vocals with Reyes (Of the Gypsy Kings) and the Guitar work. BIG BIG hit in latin areas for sure.

6) Liberta. very good but no con te partio, still very pretty.

7) Per Noi. very good, I like the way it goes up and down a scale. Its a Very romantic song.

8) Le Parole Che Non Ti Ho Detto. I LOVE it; its my favorite on the CD. One of his best chores' in music History, for sure, a beautiful song.

9) Sempre O Mai. Love it, very popish, very radio friendly, very familiar.

10) In Canto. A very Pretty song, very romanza-ish.

11) Quante Volte Ti Ho Cercato. Great song, it goes up and down a scale as well, my second fav on the CD.

12) When A Child Is Born, a good song also in english. It is in a westen sytle but ends with a heck of a good tennor note.

13) Go Where Loves Goes. In english, a beautiful duet with a yong new comer named Holly Stell, it will be huge.

Overall Andrea is a beautiful CD, you can put it on, sit back and get lost in the hills of Tuscany. This is a must have essential Bocelli CD.

5.0 out of 5 stars Andrea Bocelli's Andrea is the most awesome album from him yet!, January 25, 2006
This review is from: Andrea (Audio CD)
It's true. This is Andrea's most sophisticated and, I think, most personal album to date. Fans who have been waiting since his Cieli di Toscana will not be disappointed. This is a genuine pop album. Definitely not crossover. I've let many people listen to it who thought that they wouldn't like it because it is an "opera singer," but most of them have thoroughly enjoyed it. It is a true relief from the noisey and meaningless music and lyrics of most pop music today. Definitely a must for any great music lover's collection.

4.0 out of 5 stars A more personal Andrea, March 24, 2005
This review is from: Andrea (Audio CD)
It is no coincidence that this album bears Andrea's own name. It is a more personal venture than his other CD's, in that he lets more of himself show through in the material and delivery. For example, there is irony and passion in Sempre o Mai, lightheartedness in the lovely Semplicimente (available on a foreign edition of this CD -- not to be missed -- find it wherever you can). There is great elegance and a quiet assurance in the simple song, Per Noi. Andrea is not afraid to go back to his pop roots in songs like Un Nuovo Giorno, reminding us that he is still capable of delivering a true pop performance right alongside a gorgeous semi-operatic song like In-Canto that hints of his greatness in opera.

It is this variety and the personal touch that made me grow to love this CD. The only reason why it is not getting 5 stars has to do with the production, not Andrea's incredible vocal performance or the song selections. But I am grading on a curve, here -- a 4-star Bocelli CD is still a treasure that you will listen to over and over and over......

I am a newcomer to this artist and recently heard him during a skating event...wonderful!! This was a beautiful CD and altho primarily in Italian, wonderful listening!! I keep it in my car and am blown away every time. Have ordered two of his CDs and not been disappointed!! The reviews on Amazon.com also helped me decide...along with the music snippets...which ones I wanted to try.

5.0 out of 5 stars Back in the game again!, October 5, 2005

I became a fan after hearing "Cieli di Toscana." I also liked "Romanza" and "Sogno."

"Sentimento," however, seemed as dry as dust bunnies by comparison. (His promo appearance on AOL didn't help, either - he looked old, unkempt, and ill, but of course that doesn't show up on the CD.)

I was dubious about "Andrea" after being so disappointed with "Sentimento." To my delight, I LOVED the new release. Andrea is back in form as the multi-faceted performer that we enjoy, doing ballads and love songs that gladden the heart. He even uses his gravelly "jailhouse" voice on "Un Nuovo Giorno," which is probably my favorite song on this CD.

If you liked "Cieli di Toscana," I'd be willing to bet that you'll like "Andrea" as much or better!

It is wonderful that Andrea has another recording out for us fans to savor. While it is not as awesomely spectacular as some of his other albums, any song from Andrea brings joy to all who listen. I immediately had to go on the internet to see who the girl was singing with him in "Go Where Love Goes." So charming. And "When a Child Is Born" made me want to cry with its simple beauty. Bravo, Andrea! More CD's, per favore!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Passion of the Heart, January 31, 2005
This review is from: Andrea (Audio CD)
With his latest recording "Andrea", I had no difficulty finding songs that surpassed my previous exposure to his music. Although I was disappointed that the "Andrea" CD omitted the english translation in may of the songs. I was still moved by the recordings which appeared to be a blend of pop, classical, and opera, a special gift to the listener. "Sin Tu Amor" with Mario Keys blended beautifully with classical guitar and "When a child is born" it brings sweet memories the dreas I have had for my own children. "Go Where Love Goes" brought me full circle to my first exposure to Mr. Bocelli. What better way to find calm and tranquilty in my thoughts but to listen to the angelic voice of Holly Still and the soul and passion of Andrea Bocelli.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just love him, August 20, 2005
This review is from: Andrea (Audio CD)
I don't know how anyone could give him a bad review. Anything he sings is great. I have a grandchild coming in about a week and am going to frame "A Child is Born." I also love "DELL'AMORE NON SI SA" and "TU CI SEI." With all the rap-crap our kids listen to I wish more people would appreciate what this great man gives to us. I know this grandson of mine will listen often when I have him. If you love great music, buy this!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Voice From Heaven, January 4, 2005

This review is from: Andrea (Audio CD)
Celine was right when she said that 'if God had a voice, it would be that of Andrea.' This CD is no less than complete perfection from this beautiful man with the beautiful soul that melts your heart. It IS 'different' and more 'pop'. To me it just shows that Andrea can do it all. For those of you who may not have been WOW-ed at first listening, keep listening. These are all beautiful pieces of music. My favorites are L'attesa, Tu Ci Sei, Liberta, Sempre O Mai and In Canto. We are so blessed to have Andrea. For those of you who would like the translations you can go to www.abmusica.com.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great new album, November 10, 2004
This review is from: Andrea (Audio CD)
Since Bocelli's debut in America I have enjoyed all of his albums and I feel like they've successively gotten better. From the raw emotion and moving melodies of Romanza to the colorful tunes of Cieli di Toscana which depict the Tuscan landscape so well, his performances captivate and touch the soul. Bocelli's newest album, Andrea, is no exception. Singing in Italian, Spanish and English, Bocelli broadens his horizons with songs like "Sin Tu Amor" a duet with Mario Reyes and "Where Love Goes" with Holly Stell. Bocelli ventures outside his traditional singing methods in this album while maintaining the Italian opera and pop styles which made him so popular, this album is a definite must get.
