Andrea Immer is just superb! This book is invaluable to the everyday wine drinker. It offers sound, believable adv ice and great information. Ms. Immer is pushing the Snobs like Bob Parker and Andy Blue into the sections of the wine world where they belong, that have so long intimidated "everyman" by making wine seem so mysterious and elitest. I heartily recommend this book and also Ms. Immer's "Great WInes Made Simple" and Great Tastes Made Simple" My wife also loves the writing style and excellent suggestions in the "Great" books. We look forward to reading more from this fine young author.

...Leslie Sbrocco's book "Wine for Women" instead. You could better relate to it.

I thoroughly enjoyed this guide as it walked me through the basics of wine as well as providing valuable insight on future purchases. I will probably buy each new yearly edition of this guide.

With all respect I have to tell you about my opinion . First I love wines , good wines , cheap or expensive , I work with wines , I' m a bartender , I am realy dissapointed with that book , for me it was not just the simple think to buy and read the book . I bought also some of the wines , which with all respect it was a waste of time ( for reading ) , waste of money - for the book and wines , better ask your friends , or the bartender for a good wine . If you like good jokes - go for the book .
