5.0 out of 5 stars Rocking Drink Trolley Rocks
I don't write a lot of reviews, but I have to disagree with the below one that slams this trolley, because I think it's a fantastic little piece of functional backyard furniture--at a really good price. The point in a different review about it not folding up for storage purposes is valid, but since it wheels, it's really easy to move (I have a storage area under some...

3.0 out of 5 stars OK once you've assembled it

Not bad once it's assembled - which is pretty tricky since there's basically no directions and no website - some quick hints:

(1) Make sure you have a ruler so you can measure the bolts and match them up to the letters

(2) Don't tighten everything until the end - else is very hard to get the lower tray in there

(3) The string...

5.0 out of 5 stars Rocking Drink Trolley Rocks, August 21, 2008

I don't write a lot of reviews, but I have to disagree with the below one that slams this trolley, because I think it's a fantastic little piece of functional backyard furniture--at a really good price. The point in a different review about it not folding up for storage purposes is valid, but since it wheels, it's really easy to move (I have a storage area under some stairs that lead from the house to the yard, and just wheel it under there. Of course, covering it with a little weatherproofing means that for most of the summer, even in summer rains, I just leave it outside). The bottle-holding area is what I like best, because you can just load it up with bottles, put an ice bucket and glasses and garnishes on the top shelf (or bottom shelf), and then wheel it from party-goer to party-goer and make fresh drinks. The fact that it has three bottle holders makes it ideal for the perfect, classic, Margarita for example, since the Margarita has three main ingredients (tequila, triple sec, and fresh lime juice)--see how nice that matches the three bottle holders? This trolley is just ideal for this situation and for all summer parties (as I demonstrated just last weekend. And let me tell you, everyone was digging the trolley). It's lots of fun, and I suggest it for anyone who has yard parties.

3.0 out of 5 stars OK once you've assembled it, January 2, 2009
This review is from: Andrea (Vinyl)

Not bad once it's assembled - which is pretty tricky since there's basically no directions and no website - some quick hints:

(1) Make sure you have a ruler so you can measure the bolts and match them up to the letters

(2) Don't tighten everything until the end - else is very hard to get the lower tray in there

(3) The string is to keep the pieces roughly in place while you align everything - otherwise, it can be really hard to hold it upright during assembly with just one person. We found it easier to lay everything on the side and line up the bolts that way.

(4) Helps to have a small soft mallet to gentley hammer the pieces until they align

(5) Helps to have your own allen wrench

(6) We ended up having to add an extra washer to the wheel assembly, else there was too much space and it was just too wobbly

3.0 out of 5 stars doesn't fold for storage, June 27, 2008
This review is from: Andrea (Vinyl)
Bought one of these a while back to take dinner from the kitchen to the patio. Works well enough, but doesn't fold up easily for storage, which was important to me. I found out the hard way. Otherwise, the cart is satisfactory and at $69 is a better buy than I got.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice Trolley!, January 13, 2009

I will say that it does require some assembly.... but I love a good puzzle AND I LOVE the trolley! I actually bought another after I put the first one together! I bonsai trees and it works GREAT for a garden center that I can move around! And it has been great in the rain or in the sun! Again just be prepared to put in some time figuring out the pieces. We found the easiest way is to lay out all the hardware and put a little tag under each group so that you are able to keep track of A, J, H or whatever screw and nut you need! : )

2.0 out of 5 stars OK Bar at OK price, September 30, 2008
This review is from: Andrea (Vinyl)
The Bar Trolley was a hassle to assemble since the directions are next to worthless. Upon completion you have an OK product for the reduced "deal of the Day' price I received otherwise I would have felt ripped off.

2.0 out of 5 stars Brain-Teaser???, September 30, 2008
This review is from: Andrea (Vinyl)
This sounded like a great bargin and good idea for around the pool but when I opened the box and saw all those hundreds of small pieces, I set it aside for maybe a boring winter day project or maybe getting a kindhearted friend to tackle the project. I guess I was just not desparate enough for a drink cart to drive myself crazy. Sorry guys but you asked...Would I recommend you buy one? Have to think on that one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Solid and useful at a great price, October 2, 2009

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Andrea (Vinyl)
I got this bar trolley for $69.00, compared to similar units at up to 6 times more in price on Amazon, this is a solid value and bargain. It is well constructed, great stained hardwood looks, and contrary to some of the griping by other reviewers, is really not that hard to assemble. I would suggest using your own set of allen wrenches, as has been my experience over the years with most low line tools from Asia. Folks there still do not seem to understand that you have to heat treat this sort of tool (harden and temper) to get any usefulness out of it. All three supplied allen wrenches torque twisted and galled after tightening a few fasteners.

4.0 out of 5 stars Love this item but you need to be an engineer to put it together, May 14, 2009
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Andrea (Vinyl)
LOVE this bar trolley once my husband and I finally got it put together. The instructions were lacking to stay the least. I had to go back to amazon.com and print a picture of it in order for us to figure out how to assemble the thing. However, once we put it together we LOVE it! It was worth it in the end. I like to put all of my food on the trolley and wheel it out to our deck (very cool). It is good quality for the price. I know I will get a lot of use out of it on the deck and have received several compliments from friends & family.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great value., January 29, 2009
This review is from: Andrea (Vinyl)
This item was purchased as a gift for a friend who was most pleased with its design, appearance and functionality. I am always amazed at the design quality of the fasteners that are provided for these types of assemblies. For those who may not do well with instructions, (I am not one of these folks) the clarity of the printed assembly material was a bit lacking and might cause problems. The itemized parts list must be closely followed and the lengths of each of the various bolts and pieces arranged in separate piles. Its worth the time taken to make these measurements and for this, a metric ruler is needed. That being said, I did enjoy working out the puzzle tho some may not feel the same as I.
