Andreas Vollenweider and Friends, 25 years LIVE is a 2 CD set covering LIVE musical performances ranging from 1980 thru 2007. The musical performances come from songs represented on 10 different Vollenweider albums: 1)Behind the Gardens 1981, 2)Caverna Magica 1982, 3)White Winds 1984, 4)Down to the Moon 1986, 5)Dancing With the Lion 1989, 6)Book of Roses 1991, 7)Eolian Minstral 1993, 8)Kryptos 1997, 9)VOX 2004, and 10)Cosmopoly 2005. An additional treat comes in the form of LIVE performances available only here. These performances sprinkled throughout the 2 CD's are from various years and the LIVE locations are from throughout Europe and Japan. Andreas Vollenweider is well known for his compilations and "best of" type albums of which this is one but a lot more ! You could buy all 10 albums and you would have a lot of great music but this set offers a great look into the 25+ years of LIVE work with various bands that Vollenweider has worked with. It's a great addition to any A.V. collection. Enjoy !

It's a pleasure to revisit his artistic excellence, hearing songs done a bit differently in this LIVE compilation. You won't be disappointed. Shipping was very quick.

I have been a fan of Andreas Vollenweider for at least 25 years. The haunting, intricate, soul-soothing sounds of his harp and the accompanying orchestrations have been a source of sensory enjoyment through many a quiet moment of reflection. I took a "Down to the Moon" CD with me on a business trip to Mexico City in 1994 and shared the music with friends over dinner. It was a candle-lit event with good spirits flowing and great conversation. Our host that evening was so enchanted with the music that I gifted the CD to him and later replaced it. Andreas' music is universally appreciated and this collection of live recordings over a 25-year period is absolutely a masterpiece and any serious collector of Andreas' music MUST own it. Simply outstanding!

Andreas is one of the few artists that sound just as good live as in the recording studio (if not better). The recording gear used to capture these performances also captured the acoustic punch and bass that accompanies so many of the tracks in the studio. I also was pleasantly surprised to hear an interesting mix of the trumpet and the sax with the harp on a few tracks which I hadn't heard before.

I've listened Andres Vollenweider for over 20 years and I never disssapointed eith his music. usually just Electronic Harp instrumental but he has vocals in his newer music which I like very much. Great harp music not like any other he has a very individual sound. I love to listen to him while I'm driving or just doing chores or chillin at home.
