From School Library Journal
Grade 7 Up-This biography starts with a quick look at the early life of the CEO of Intel. Grove overcame much adversity as a Jewish child growing up in Hungary during the Nazi and Communist eras. He came to the United States as a refugee, changed his name, earned a Ph.D., and entered the fledgling world of computer chips. Eventually, he found himself in charge of one of the fastest growing companies in the corporate world. Actually, this book is less about Grove (readers will feel that they've barely gotten to know him) than it is about silicon chips and the rise of Intel. Much of this information is quite technical, and it doesn't make for lively reading. This book is solely for reports or a very few techno-obsessed kids (who would probably prefer to be on the computer anyway). It's a pretty dry corporate history. A helpful computer-industry time line, index, and glossary are included. Less helpful is the short bibliography.
