Southern-born New York designers Chad Crawford and Andrew Tessier have successfully hybridized sophisticated everyday pieces and a whimsical design aesthetic with their fine jewelry line Andrew Hamilton Crawford.
Chad was raised among a family of jewelers with his own professional background being in fine jewelry. His talents naturally led him to relocate from his home state of Georgia to Manhattan to continue his career. Andrew, having grown up in Alabama just a state away from Chad, started his career in costume design after earning a Fine Arts degree from Auburn University. Andrew then relocated to New York City, crossed footpaths with Chad, and Andrew Hamilton Crawford was created. The mixing of their two mediums has resulted in a jewelry line that is luxe and story-telling.
Their collections are thoughtfully crafted and include resin, enamel, and Swarovski encrusted pieces in color stories that are both inventive and versatile. Each piece provides an avenue to add a personal bit of color to a professional ensemble, add style to favorite weekend jeans, or a flash of elegance to the little black dress. Andrew and Chad both have women in their lives that serve as the backdrop for designing pieces that woman want to continue to wear year after year. Their inspiration comes from the desire to provide that luxury.
Andrew and Chad both enjoy the company of a frolicking Shih Tzu named John Lennon that serves as the unofficial spokesdog for Andrew Hamilton Crawford.
