would have been a winner except for the echo,

Easy to take on and off (once you figure it out!), and usually stays in place. However, if my ear is sweaty or oily (a lovely thought, I know), it tends to slide around my ear. For the most part I had no problems hearing the other party and other people never had a problem hearing me. Background noise from being inside a car didn't affect the quality of sound that was transmitted. The biggest problem I found was that most people I talked to complained that they heard their own voice echoed back at them. This was not something that I could hear on my end but I verified it when I had someone call me using this headset. This is *very* annoying for the person being called.

I have tried other hands free systems, but am now convinced that nothing works as well as a headset where the microphone is close to your mouth. This product provides excellent sound, and the other party hears you just as easily as if you were using the phone alone. The only (minor) drawback is that it's a little difficult to put on. However, once it's on, it is very comfortable. I've only had it for 2 weeks, so it's hard to comment on durability, but I am contemplating buying a second unit - one for my car and one for my home.

Good, but can slip,

I use this headset when I am driving and need to make cell phone calls. I was surprised at how clear sounding my calls were and people I have called have told me that they could not tell that I was using a headset, it sounded just like the phone itself. The only problem with this is that it has a tendency to slip. I hangs off your ear and can rotate down so that it feels like the mic is moving away from you ear. I am not sure if it moves far enough to effect sound quality, but it can be annoying.

Didn't work for me...,

I tried, for quite a while, to get used to this headset. I liked the fact that it had a mike that came close to your mouth and didn't dangle. First of all, I found the earpiece very, very difficult to get on. Second, once on, it would slip so that the mic was moving away from my face and the ear piece was moved away from my ear, eventually falling off. And, finally, when I would get it to stay, it hurt the outside of my ear.To be fair, I know other people who use this and like it alot. Maybe I just have larger ears, but, it just didn't work for me. |
