Editorial Reviews

From School Library Journal

Grade 5-8-From his humble frontier beginnings to life in the White House, Jackson is clearly presented. The text gives a well-balanced account of this man, warts and all, including his hot temper, ownership of slaves, and his views that Native Americans were "savages." The design is crisp and filled with color prints and illustrations. This book offers more depth than others on the topic for this age group, making it an excellent choice to round out presidential biography collections.
