Product Description

The high-stakes of cybercrime in Android: Netrunner push runners and corporations to find the latest and greatest advancements in stealth and security. The sixty new cards (three copies each of twenty individual cards) in Cyber Exodus deliver. The game's seven factions find upgraded ice, new hardware for runners, new research, and ambushes. Even as the Data Pack's new technology makes each of the factions more efficient, it also derezzes the limits of the possible:

-Anarchs burn brighter than before, but their resources and viruses open up whole new ratios of risk and reward.
-Criminals become smoother, smarter, and gain new defenses.
-Shapers push their tinkering to new heights with test runs and personal workshops.
-Haas-Bioroid researches new ways to access their Archives and new Tracer technology.
-Jinteki designers restructure the nature of time and space as experienced on the network.
-NBN strengthens its reputation as the megacorp best situated to leverage its information into power and credits.
-Weyland Consortium's advancements in new ice pay dividends.

The third Android Netrunner Data Pack burst on to the scene in February 2013. If you are getting into the game do you need it though? Let’s review it card by card. We will use the 0 – 5 rating on each one. 0 being horrible and 5 being epic:

*Chaos Theory: Wunderkind (5) A lot of people are on the fence about her. Whether she is good or not. Spoiler alert, she is. With only a 40 card deck but still sporting 15 influence she is so easy to build for. You can even splash a lot of one of cards in her deck and will still probably see a lot of them. Add in the one extra MU and she’s gravy.
*Chimera (3.5) Early it will punish the runner by becoming whatever breaker they don’t have. It loses it’s strength as the game goes on though. And be careful not to stick it on a central. Unless you enjoy paying for it a lot.
*Commercialization (3) I went back and forth on how high to rate this one. Ultimately it’s solid. It can burst you out a lot of credits. Especially if you were using the free one from the Weyland Because We Built It identity.
*Dinosaurus (4) The hardware. The myth. The legend. This card rocks. 5 cost isn’t cheap. But so many breakers fit so well on this. Yog. Femme. Goo times had by all….but the corp.
*Edge of World (3) Ambush and trap cards can be notoriously hard to pull off in Netrunner. If you don’t advance it then they don’t run it. If you do but you don’t score it, then they stay away too. Can be hard to pull off. But like it’s friend Snare! it can also really catch someone off guard. This card is a game changer and well worth running.
*Emergency Shutdown (4.5) Why do the blue cards always have to be so nasty? Because they can be. Another home run card. All you need to do is get into HQ by any means possible.

Like all the Genesis Cycle expansions, Cyber Exodus delivers the goods. Great cards, well worth the cost. The only downside I think is Fantasy Flight needs to print more packs each run, to counteract these selling out so quickly!

This data pack is absolutely essential if you're a Netrunner fan like me. Like all data packs you won't use all the cards, but the cards you do use will determine whether you win a game or lose it. Game on!

Such an important data pack especially if you are a Shaper player. They got a new identity, Chaos Theory: Wunderkind, a new console in Dinosaurus, a new location in Personal Workshop, and an event called Test Run. Other 'runner cards include Joshua B and Nerve Agent (anarch), Emergency Shutdown, Muresh Bodysuit, and Snitch (criminal), and Public Sympathy (neutral).

On the Corp side of things there is a new agenda and a new piece of ICE for HB, Project Virtuous and Viper, respectively. NBN gets a new piece of ICE, Pop-Up Window and a new asset called Marked Accounts, Jinteki adds Edge of World as a new ambush and Sunset as its newest operation. And Weyland rounds it out with Commercialization and Woodcutter, while Chimera and Private Contracts are neutral.

All of the data packs in the Genesis Cycle are really good, but Cyber Exodus is the first one that you HAVE to have. Must own it.

Me and my buddy love playing Android Netrunner atleast 5 times a month and expanding the deck only enhances the possibilities, maybe enough that I will actually start winning a few games...

Got this to expand my Android: Netrunner card game. Adds to the strategy and complexities to a really fun game. Especially if you want to go beyond the 2-player aspect of the game to include more people. If you like card games or are looking for an alternative for CCG versions of games, this might be a good game to check out. You will need the original game, but these packs really expand the game. Just a heads up that this is NOT a CCG style game, the cards are the same in the data pack series and not randomized. So no uncommons or rares. It's about strategy and resources, not who has built the better deck.

Not much to say about these, but my husband loves to play this game with his coworkers. He was happy with these additional cards.
