Comment: This book has already been loved by someone else. It MIGHT have some wear and tear on the edges, have some markings in it, or be an ex-library book. Over-all it's still a good book at a great price! (if it is supposed to contain a CD or access code, that may be missing)

The initial description of this book states: "Despite the popularity of Android™ and its huge app store, there hasn't been much information to be found on making the most of its in-phone camera. Now, this enlightening guide helps users get a great shot, anytime, anywhere. It details many of the great apps available for Android™; shows how to apply them to create, edit, and enhance images; and explains the easiest and best ways to share those pictures with friends and family." My reply to all that: Yes - it IS difficult to find ANY books on Android photography. No - this book IS NOT very "enlightening", although it does touch on the basics of SOME techniques. No - this book DOES NOT "detail" the apps and the apps she uses, which must be HER favorites, are not the best ones - where is Snapseed, Autodesk Pixlr, Aviary, to name a few, as well as the myriad cameras that have built-in editing apps (she does mention Camera360 Ultimate but I tried it and uninstalled it)? Sharing? Uhm - she does mention WordPress & Tumblr but the others may be outdated for all I know. I've never heard of them! (BTW: G+ has a plethora of communities where you can "share" your work). Then you get to see PAGES of her photos before she "dips her big toe into the waters" of video which in reality NEEDS a full book all unto itself. The ONLY thing that aided me in any way were a couple "techniques" for shooting a photo - but she barely scratched the surface of even those "techniques". If you are a complete newbie to smartphone photography, you "may" find more within this book that is useful to you.Read more ›
