I think this may be the best of Andy's early work.
Brian Diamond
There is nothing written, no guests, and no sets except the chair he is sitting on and a lamp with no shade, and we will just have to watch him sit and do nothing.
Alejandra Vernon
This was, by far Andy Kaufman's best piece of work ever.
William Spratt

When Andy Kaufman was only known as "latka",this special allowed people to see another side of Andy that they did not know.Shelved for two years by studio executives, they just thought it was far too bizarre to air on television, eventually it did air.
You see Andy's classic "foreign Man to Elvis",He makes chocolate milk and sings kid's songs,he interrogates Cindy Williams (Laverne And Shirley) about her career and ask's her some absurd questions. He also host's his infamous "Has Been Corner"where he shames a woman who once thought she could make it in Hollywood. He also plays the bongos and has some sing-alongs,as well as shows home movies.
It was originally titled: "Andy's Funhouse",because much of the show is a tribute to the children's shows that he put on as a child, only this show has plenty of bizarre things as well. This show was mostly the reason why Andy Kaufman took the job on Taxi. This video along with "Midnight Special",and "I'm From Hollywood" would be the besy way to go,for a great set of Andy Kaufman videos.
Order today! Eric.

When the TV show TAXI was just getting going,Andy was was given the rights to produce his own "special".I've seen many specials by other comedians, but this one stands out as the most original, funny, and off the wall bizarre. It also aired on ABC during TAXI and gave people another side of Andy Kaufman that they had never seen. Andy plays the bongos,"Has Been Corner" where people who are trying to get a new start in showbiz have to deal with Andy telling them "I don't think you'll make it" there's a whole lot more as well.Order it today

If so, then this video is for you, however, I suggest that you make this the second of your video collection. I would first buy the Midnight Special. It has a lot of the same skits as this one, but with Tony Clifton to boot.

It's the Brilliant Song-and-Dance Man Andy Kaufman doing what he loves to do and doing it better then anyone else ever could. Although much shorter then I'd like, it kept me laughing the whole time.

I think this may be the best of Andy's early work. All of Andy's classic routines when they still were relatively fresh and new (at least to the public). If I had one video to show someone who had never seen Andy, I would choose this one, no dobut. I can't watch it enough.
