5.0 out of 5 stars A Spanish Seranade
I watched this group play for carnival in Madrid. They are great! They have an amazing stage presence and each girl in the audience felt each song was only for her. I went and bought this CD the next day. They are huge in Spain. Every girl here loves either Andy, or Lucas.

I'm sorry but I can't praise this. Andy and Lucas sound like every other spanish pop group. I know I'm going to get bashed for this but I live in Spain and I'm sick of everything sounding the same. This is bog-standard stuff. Don't let the other reviews fool you into thinking this has flamenco elements. It does not. And by the way, they are two of the most ugliest pop...

This CD is beautiful. The songs are very touching; they seem to have experience beyond their years. It is a great CD to listen to and relax. Great with a glass of Sangria and good conversation.
Even if your Spanish is poor or nonexistent, the emotions they express transcend words. I bought it when I was still learning Spanish. It is great practice to learn the words and sing along.
Good Luck, and enjoy!
¡Viva Madrid!

5.0 out of 5 stars Witch Hunter is crazy!!!!!, April 25, 2005
This review is from: Andy & Lucas (Audio CD)
I'm buying this CD after stumbling on it listening to Yahoo Launch. It reminded me of Spain, and I listened to all their songs and videos after hearing the first song. This is a great group. Read the words and feel the music.

To say this doesn't have flamenco elements is crazy. Flamenco is a very personal and emotional art form. Someone taking their love of flamenco and integrating it with other art forms takes nothing from the form itself. Many rich and wonderful forms of music have been developed in a similar fashion.

Spanish pop and rock music in general have a lot to offer. I hope the world begins discovering the treasures hidden in Spain. The way they integrate traditional music with modern music is amazing, producing rich sounds not heard anywhere else.

Emily, I love Madrid as well. :) Maybe Witch Hunter is just a little biased against anything originating in Spain?????

These guys are amazing and very young!! I am very impressed with the music and lyrics. Lucas is a very talented song writer. He will go far, and Andy compliments his songs very well. I purchased this cd for one song, Son De Amores, however I have been playing the whole cd over and over again. A great cd that captures the spirit of Flamenco mixed with pop. Pop is not my favorite form of music, but there are some songs that I do enjoy. This cd has many of them. Buy it, you will like this very much. Read the lyrics in the booklet, you will see what I am talking about.

Jose

I love this cd,i have never been a huge fan of flamenco music but this is way beyond, the mix of pop and flamenco along with the voices of the singles makes this album and enjoyable experience.
You will find some ballands and some moving tracks,i must say i love Un rinconcito al sur and Tanto la queria, and if you love Gypsy Kings this is a must cd, the only difference is that this is a real flamenco album coming from a very cultural flamenco city such Cadiz where the duet are from.
Worth every penny.

I love it... i've only just today heard a short clip of each song on the album and without hesitation, I ordered it straigh away..i can't wait for it to arrive...

I think they are absolutely fantastic and I love the way they mix the flamenco with the pop sound, as well as on a 'son de amores' they have a bhangra version too... I'm from London (English) and I don't know how long they have been out, but I think they are going to do really well and go very far.. i hope to see a few more albums... Excelente!

Almost as bad as Marc Athony. Buy it if you like boyband(lots of sappy love songs) pop at its most potent. Lo siento tios, pero es la verdad.
