The year is 2020 A.D. Mankind's greed has nearly depleted the world of natural resources. With most of the planet's rain forests gone, extreme weather patterns and global warming have left rampant devastation in their path. The constant decrease in the ozone layer signals the doom of nature's deadliest enemy, man, with a plague of biblical proportions. Mother Nature unleashes her fury as the human race seeks to destroy the planet and each other. In this chaotic era, two children from different worlds connect one fateful night. As a result both are imprisoned, one literally and the other figuratively. Troy Bishop pursues his dream of becoming an astronaut. He is troubled by dreams and half remembered events in his young life. An insidious corporation shattered his childhood and took the two people he loved most in the world. A relentless plague was sweeping the globe and his father held the key to a cure. When his father is killed the 'children of the gift' become the harvest for the world. Zenani, an alien princess, was ripped from her people on that fateful night and waits for Troy to release her and avenge their loss. The two are linked forever, but will the dreams and visions she gives Troy be enough to awaken the unspoken one?

This is a great sci-fi work. It has a lot of adventure, and an involving story. It digs deep into human emotions and behavior as well. A must read.
