Amanda Perez, a 21 year old mexican female with the voice of an angel and the rhymes of a diva. First of all I want to let you all know that "Angel" is not the first album releasd by Amanda Perez. "Where You At?" was the first album, and it contains all of the tracks on "Angel" and more. I am VERY mad, because "Where You At" had 2 of the best rap songs by Amanda ("Get 'Em Hype" my favorite song period & Too Tee Zee.) I think it was a bad decision to lift them from the album. Ok, Angel is a great debut, ("Where You At" was fantastic). On this album she shows you that she is extremely talented, along the lines of people who have been in this buisness for years. Amanda wrote, produced, arranged, rapped & vocally lead the entire album!...BR>So in review, this album is a great debut! Only a couple of songs seem like they are missing something, but besides that, it is PERFECT. I graded this Album on a debut level so it gets 4.0 stars! "Where You At" received 4.5 Stars, I encourage you to check it out! Great job Amanda, continue being off da hook and you will prosper.

For any one looking for a cd to mello out to and chill with the person you love, this is the cd for you. I must say i have only heard 3 tracks on it but from what i have heard it has potential to be a big hit. "Never" , "Angel", and "Angel (remix)" are what i have heard. If any of you hear these 3 songs your will want to hear more. Once i get the cd i will post my other thoughts about it, but until then i will only say that this cd has potential to be one of the best in 2003.

I caught on to Amanda Perez a year before she broke big. With her debut single, NEVER, I caught on to it. Nevertheless, the single really did not take off well and so her release was kind of dampened overall. With this revamped release and the ANGEL track blowing up so big, I decided to cop this CD. I was surprised by it for the most part. Although Perez's sharp end-notes can get a little annoying at times, she does has a nice voice as is best displayed by I STILL LOVE YOU, the beats and arrangements more than make up for her fledgling vocals. This reminds of PINK'S debut, CAN'T TAKE ME HOME just a little and it is refreshing to hear music like this.

Some of the good party songs include I LIKE IT, IN MY LIFE, YOUR BODY IS MINE, NO MORE, WHOA and WHERE YOU AT? For some homegirl kind of ballads, go to ANGEL, NEVER, LOVE IS PAIN and one of the best slow songs in some time- I STILL LOVE YOU. Everyone who hears that is taken away by it so this disc is arguably worth that song along.

Overall, a solid debut or second debut with some nice fun music that is not run-of the mill. Check this one out definitely!!

I really like the song Angel but I felt that the abulm was not that good. I may not be a music expert but some of her songs sound alike and I hope that she will make better music in the future. I feel that she has the potential and talent to make it far in the undustry but she needs to think and listen over some of the songs she makes. Sorry if I offended Amanda and anyone who felt her music was good.(remember this is my opinion and I do respect Amanda as a artist)

MY FAVORITE SONG IS I STILL LOVE YOU!! IT IS SO TOUCHING THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE FIRST SINGLE OF THE CD SHE HAS SUCH A GREAT VOICE SHE NEEDS TO COME OUT WITH ANOTHER SONG ON HER NEXT ALBUM THAT SOUNDS SIMILAR TO I STILL LOVE!!! HURRY UP AMANDA WERE WAITNG FOR THE NEXT ALBUM ONE MORE THING AMANDA i i still love you!!!!1

I didn't know about Amanda Perez until I heard her single "Angel" on the raidio. And I thought it was on tight R&B song. So I thought she was just an singer but she also raps or flows. So here is what I thought of the album

01. I Like It - Just like the title I liked it it's a tight song.

02. In My Life - She talks about the man in her life, and having him right beside her in her life.

03. Angel - This is one hot track, the piano in the song mixed with the beat make this one hot track and a hot 1st single.

04. I Still Love You - This was an tight ballad. It's not like most ballads that's borin' this one was tight.

05. Never - Another ballad on the album. She's talking that she'll never let her man go, and askin' him to stay 4 the rest of her life.

06. The Call (Skit / Interlude)

07. Your Body Is Mine - One tight track. The beat is hot.

08. Love Is Pain - A hot track, she explain how love is like pain.

09. No More - An upbeat bounce track. She is talkin' that she isn't takin' it no more!!

10. Whoa - My favorite trak on this album!!. She raps on this track. The beat is hot, and her flow is very tight.

11. Where You At? - She also raps on this album!!. You can really get crunk off this trap.

12. Angel (Slow Jam Rap) - Similar to the original track, but it has a different beat. And she also flows on this track. It's a cool remix to the orignal track.

For a debut cd, this is not bad. The best song here is "Angel." While other songs aren't as tight, they are done well. She has more range than Ashanti, that's for sure. I was surprised to see some of the negative reviews because the music is actually pretty good. For example, Maryellen Shaw criticizes her speech pathology, but I'm sure she would never have the spine to do the same to an African-American R&B artist because then it would be a clear case racism. As far as Amanda Perez having connections in the industry, almost every field of work is about networking if you want to move up...what planet do you live on. I can only say to people who buy these cd's in this day and age, without previewing some of the tracks on the internet, then the award for the years biggest fool would go to you. Again, Amanda did a decent job here. If you don't want to pay full price, there are used copies available.

Amanda is a Fort Wayne, Indiana artist and I wanna give my shout outs to her. Keep reppin dA fORT. aIIGHT

HER CD IS TIGHT GO AND GET IT

I bought Amanda Perez's cd and I think that this is one of the best cd's of 2003. I love Amanda Perez and she is a great impact on me and my girlfriends life.

I loved the song Angel I thought she put a lot of expression in that one song. But, the rest of the songs are meaning less! Do not buy the cd, for that one song! Get that song somewhere else! Do not be disapointed!
