5.0 out of 5 stars A wonderful book about Michael Jackson!
First let me say that I think it took courage to write this book. I have never really called myself a fan of Michael Jackson's music, although I did enjoy a few of his songs. However, after reading the book, I sought out more of his music and found so very many beautiful songs. I also bought a copy of Michael's book, "Dancing The Dream," that was mentioned in this book,...

I understand the authers feelings about Michael;I still cry too and I never knew too much about him till after his death at which time something compelled me to learn all I could.I would agree that Michael was a very special gift to us. This review is from: An Angel Among Us: We called Him Michael Jackson... a spiritual journey (Paperback)
First let me say that I think it took courage to write this book. I have never really called myself a fan of Michael Jackson's music, although I did enjoy a few of his songs. However, after reading the book, I sought out more of his music and found so very many beautiful songs. I also bought a copy of Michael's book, "Dancing The Dream," that was mentioned in this book, and see what awesome insight he had about Life, God, Love, Family, Friendship... I now appreciate and understand how amazing a humanitarian he was...what a huge heart he had! I too believe that there are no coincidences, only signs from God...and the things highlighted in this book are certainly not coincidences. Michael Jackson was obviously a special messenger from God. He was a gentle and loving soul. Thank-you goes to Elizabeth for helping us make these connections through her book. Whether you are a fan or not, everyone should read this book.

If you've ever felt your soul connected to Michael's. If you've felt like you knew Michael and he knew you although you've never met. If you've always known Michael was more than an entertainer - this is the book for you. The author clearly shows you why Michael was so much more than a performer, why he was so much more than a song, a dance, beyond all charitable acts, simply put Michael was pure love, energy, and light. This book makes the connection of souls, Michael, and divine union. The book tied up everything I've felt all my life into one beautiful present of L.O.V.E.! A definite MUST READ!

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazed!, April 25, 2010

This review is from: An Angel Among Us: We called Him Michael Jackson... a spiritual journey (Paperback)
I must say that the book shed much bright light on the person Michael Jackson was. I'm 46 yrs. old and was raised on listening to Michael's music, beginning with the Jackson 5. Although my musical preference changed, I still enjoyed all his newest hits. However, I never knew he had done so much in his lifetime for humankind and the planet until I read the book. I have a newfound respect and admiration for the person Michael was and the increased enlightenment he attempted to bring about through his music and writings. I am thankful that Ms. Billeaudeaux took the time to research and write this book. It is because of her writings about Michael Jackson that I have set my personal goals higher to love and respect all of life on Planet Earth. It's what Michael wanted.

This review is from: An Angel Among Us: We called Him Michael Jackson... a spiritual journey (Paperback)
A musician, stage director & eclectic music lover myself, I always said (if anyone brought up the subject) that my admiration for Michael Jackson was really "all about the music".

But over the years as I observed the trajectory of MJ's career and his personal life in all its glory, innovation and catastrophe, something kept nagging in my soul that wasn't about music, or dance, or performing onstage.

He was so maddeningly complex and mysterious and yet so consistent in publicly stating to whomever would listen how SIMPLE & CLEAR it really all was: care for each other, care for the planet, love the children who carry whatever remains of our legacy as a people forward, stop hate, stop violence, stop hunger, put love and compassion first no matter what.

He looked upon music as more than his gift from God because it was a universal form of communication, a language unto itself wherein he could unite the whole world.

I had to admit that something about him was speaking to me that was much deeper than his musical talents, something that I had not clearly understood and am still processing.

Elizabeth Michelle Billeaudeaux came to this conclusion too, apparently much earlier than I did, and it changed her to the point that she felt compelled to write and self-publish this small book, only 146 pages but packed full of passion.
She predicts that readers will not always be comfortable with her position on MJ, and I respect the risks she took in the book in spite of likely protest and/or derision.

When I am in doubt or pain in my inner life, I look to two things: faith and logic.
The author takes her opinions about MJ to these two opposing battlefields and comes up with a number of fascinating ideas.

The author's larger message, I think, is that if you were deeply affected by Michael Jackson's life and death, maybe more than you bargained for or are comfortable with, there is a reason that you need to discover for yourself.
It's really about you.

If you are called to read this book, or intrigued, or tempted, I think she will have you looking inward too.
She opens herself to our judgement in a way that MJ would understand, I think, and the reader is challenged to "make a change" in thought even if a small one.

I most like the way she transcends specific religious doctrines and uses historical references to mainstream and alternative belief systems to make her points.
She challenges you to separate spirituality from religion in what you understand and use in your own life.
She allows MJ's own words more power by gathering them together from various sources and showing the cohesion of thought in them.

"An Angel Among Us" does not imply an ending point but rather a starting line for the seekers among us, like MJ, who never stopped investigating the boundaries of his personal faith no matter where it led him or what pain lay in the journey.
To the day he died, he never gave up and neither should we.

This is a must-read for MJ fans but bring an open mind.
If her words make you uncomfortable, find out why.

The book will make you question, wonder, hope, and maybe even cry - I did...
If I had a child, I would want the author to be his/her teacher and would welcome her wide-open mind.
Those she teaches will have some interesting internal places to go as they grow and learn!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Beautiful Tribute to A Beautiful Person : Our Angel Michael, June 13, 2010

This review is from: An Angel Among Us: We called Him Michael Jackson... a spiritual journey (Paperback)
This is such a heartwarming tribute to the most beautiful human being to ever walk on this planet : MICHAEL JACKSON. He was unique, and gifted with superior talent and kindness. Unfortunately, He was misunderstood and taken advantage of. This book holds the sweetest sentiments about Michael. Ms. Billeaudeaux has written what every MJ fan believes, and what everyone else should know. Michael truly was an Angel. We were so fortunate to have Him in our lifetime. There will never be anyone like Him - ever. I highly recommend this book for everyone to read. It is inspirational, it is eye-opening, and it has also brought me to tears. :'(
I share the same feelings about Michael as Ms. Billeaudeaux has written. We have both grown up loving Michael and His music, since our childhood. Thank you for shedding light on just how special Michael really was. He was definitely sent to us from God.
Michael should not have suffered in His life, as He did. Many people who knew Michael said that, when He entered a room, the room changed. When you read this book, you will come to understand how His mere presence is captivating and intriguing. Thank you Ms. Billeaudeaux for this lovely book. The cover picture is absolutely gorgeous! This book is a true gem.

I have read many books on Michael since he left us. But this is by far the best. The authors views are mirror images of my own. How do I reach this author? I really would love to talk to someone who sees Michael for what he really is.

4.0 out of 5 stars MICHAEL JACKSON, AN ANGEL AMONG US........, July 8, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: An Angel Among Us: We called Him Michael Jackson... a spiritual journey (Paperback)
"An Angel Among Us, We call him Michael Jackson....A spiritual journey..." written by Elizabeth M. Billeaudeaux. A story from the heart and one of many that have taken flight in lieu of MJ's demise, not to discredit it on that basis; it's a wonderful narrative. It displays much of the mindset post-MJ with introspective dialogue. There is a need to let feelings out, a cry from the depths, the abyss, in light of that we've witnessed, and yet feeling helpless, we write. It may be too late for MJ but there is a lot to be said, and this is just one case in point. This spiritual journey by Elizabeth speaks for most of us. It enlightens, entertains, it gives insight into a life shared by many, yet isolated from it. It assumes knowledge of MJ fom a personal standpoint and entertains certain truth; it opens us to our humanity. Insightful and fact-filed, it interprets a life brilliantly lit, yet still remains a mystery.

This review is from: An Angel Among Us: We called Him Michael Jackson... a spiritual journey (Paperback)
I have read the book and the author is putting into words what millions of people around the world have been feeling. When Michael passed, his energy and love spread throughout the world and is felt by millions of people whose hearts are open to this. Many are still grieving and thinking of Michael daily.

I really believe Michael is an angel, prophet or messenger of God. Anyone who takes time to read or learn outside of the tabloids or mainstream media will see this. If you don't, you are really missing out!

I will quote something I heard on a YouTube this morning "Michael sings with the voice of angels, when his feet move you can see God dancing!"
