5.0 out of 5 stars Deeply Moving and Inspiring, May 31, 2009

A. Sacks (Ashland, Oregon) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Angel of Auschwitz: A Spiritual Memoir of Forgiveness & Healing (Paperback)
From the very beginning, as Natasza describes her childhood in a Jewish community in Poland, I found myself transported back in time. The scenes in the book are written so vividly that I felt I was there myself, experiencing everything through the senses of the heroine. This is wonderful in the beginning of the book, because Natasza's childhood is so happy and secure. The contrast, then, between her home life and Auschwitz, makes the revelations of the concentration camp scenes even more heartbreaking. There are truly nightmarish occurrences which are described in detail. They do not make for easy reading. Yet the faith and courage which Natasza and her circle of helpers and healers demonstrate again and again is so inspiring. I found myself moved to tears as they show such deep love and compassion, even for their enemies, in the midst of such intense hatred and cruelty.

Angel of Aushwitz is a story for all time and for all peoples. It shows us the incredible potential of the human heart. It shows us how we can love no matter what the circumstances. It teaches us that we can find good even in the most hateful and cruel human beings.

I feel I am a better human being for having read this book. I feel more dedicated to being of service to others, more willing to overlook people's faults, and more hopeful about the future of humanity. Knowing what Natasza was capable of in a concentration camp is motivating me to do more in circumstances which are so much kinder and gentler. I am very grateful to Tarra Light for writing this book, and for sharing this amazing story with the whole world! I encourage anyone and everyone to read it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Power to Touch the Reader's Heart, March 30, 2009
This review is from: Angel of Auschwitz: A Spiritual Memoir of Forgiveness & Healing (Paperback)
Angel of Auschwitz is an extremely powerful story that has the potential of reaching deep into the reader's heart. It deftly portrays that love and forgiveness are healing unguents in the face of the horrors of the holocaust. Considering that generations are moving on and time dims the memories in the collective consciousness, the story is an important reminder that nations must ever be vigilant, lest the tyrants who are the servants of evil continue their holocausts through the guise of the public good. 5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant and Touches your Soul, June 27, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Angel of Auschwitz: A Spiritual Memoir of Forgiveness & Healing (Paperback)
Before I read Angel of Auschwitz I was expecting it to be an ordinary book about reincarnation, even if it involved reincarnation from the Holocaust. But Tarra Light talks about in such detail about her past life as Natasza, before, during and after her suffering in Auschwitz- you feel every emotion she is feeling, and the pain and suffering she has endured. You visualize everything. Her book also teaches a very important lesson on compassion and forgiveness and why it is so important, especially towards those who do not deserve it. Her book is brilliant, heart wrenching and touches the depths of your soul.

5.0 out of 5 stars A window into author's past life with healing messages for all., June 28, 2009
By
This review is from: Angel of Auschwitz: A Spiritual Memoir of Forgiveness & Healing (Paperback)
Tara Light bridges time and space with the tale of Natasha a young child abruptly and cruelly separated from her family and everyone she knows. I was drawn to this book due to my fascination with and belief in reincarnation and the stories of those who have had glimpses into their past lives. Whether or not you believe in reincarnation or that Tara was reincarnated here and now in order to write Natasha's story, you will find powerful messages in this book. Spiritual growth, compassion, eternity of the soul, and the power of love and forgiveness are all here in a format that is hard to put down. This novel has the ability to hold interest and inspire the reader to use and develop the powers within to project healing vibrations to the world. The only cure for hatred is enlightenment and love.
