About the Author

Legendary figures in the body of Christ, Charles (1920—2010) and Frances (1916—2009) Hunter were known around the world as two of the most anointed and energetic evangelists on earth. The Happy Hunters, as they were affectionately dubbed, ministered in 49 nations around the world; everywhere, including the United States, they witnessed awesome healings. In one service in Bogotá, Colombia, they saw 100 people get out of wheelchairs in an incredible display of the power of God.

Charles and Frances Hunter made famous what are known as "Healing Explosions," large–scale, citywide campaigns in which the key focus is to pray for the sick to be healed. Countless thousands have been saved, healed, and filled with the Holy Spirit through their ministry. Many thousands have been trained to heal the sick, thus multiplying the healing message like liquid gold spreading across the globe.

They appeared on Regis and Kathie Lee, The Tom Snyder Show, Benny Hinn's This Is Your Day program, DayStar TV Network, CBS's 60 Minutes program, TBN, CBN, Cornerstone TV, Primetime TV, and many other national TV programs and networks. They authored over fifty best–selling books, including How to Heal the Sick, which has been translated into so many languages that 85% of the world can read this incredible book in their native languages. They also produced videos/DVDs with hours of instruction and teaching on this subject, which have also been translated into many languages of the world, reaching the globe with their life–changing message.

As recently as 2007, the Hunters hosted the history–making Worldwide Day of Healing. Thousands of churches participated across the country and around the world via satellite. Reports flooded in of people being healed of all kinds of diseases and afflictions, including blindness, multiple sclerosis, lupus, cancer, and numerous other diseases.

Two obedient people with hearts sold out to God listened to their heavenly Father and spread His Word, His grace, His mercy, and His healing power wherever they went. Their daughter, Joan Hunter Murrell, has taken over the leadership of Hunter Ministries since the passing of her mother, Frances Hunter, in July of 2009. Joan traveled with Charles and Frances for over thirty–five years and copastored a church in Dallas for eighteen years. Joan currently lives in Pinehurst, Texas, where her ministry is located.

Charles and Francis Hunter are very credible Christians, what they write, you can believe happened. This book gives very exciting and encouraging testimonies of what the Hunters have encountered. Especially Good book for non-angel believers.

Charles and Frances Hunter are the authors of "Angels on Assignment," for its first publication. (Although this book is properly by Rev. Roland H. Buck, of the famous Buck Knife family, it was as told to Mr. And Mrs. Hunter, who published the book before Whitaker House got copyrights and published it later on.)

I mention this because their affiliation with Rev. Buck lends credibility to their claims: Rev. Buck made a couple of predictions (see my other book review of his book for details) which, incredibly, came true! Therefore, I count him as a 'true' prophet. He also passes all 5 classic tests for a prophet. (See my book review of Michaelson's book for those five tests.)

You have the standard fare, tales of angel encounters, but, like Roland Buck's book, which they wrote from their interviews of him, the Hunters' book here also does not ever contradict scripture. I would know, as I have read all of the Bible from cover to cover. To put things in perspective, two of the books I've reviewed on Amazon here do not completely line up with the Bible, and you will have to read my reviews to see which two -for details.

In addition, however, the Hunters have included some accounts from other people as well. Furthermore, the Hunters are accomplished authors -and still going even though they are well advanced in years. In conclusion, I rate their book with the highest rating, not something I do for all books I rate. Yes, this book is one that is hard to put down, and rightly so.
