Book Description

March 1, 2005
A life well lived does not mean one of material success, but one of personal fulfillment, spiritual richness, and satisfying relationships.

Margaret B. Rhodes achieved all this and more when she met and eventually married Richard Rhodes. Although her life had hit some shoals in her first marriage, she was blessed with three children, Joseph W. Lyons, John M. Lyons, and Anna (Lyons) Gross, and developed a sense of determination that she was going to better their lives through her abiding faith in God and His plan for her life.

Her marriage to Richard proved far different, encompassing world travel, a successful business, strong familial ties with her stepchildren, and a deep respect, love, and trust in her husband.

Through hard work, perseverance, and a strong sense of self, Mrs. Rhodes shares with us how an Angel with a Broken Wing can be healed and become whole, inspiring us to turn our whole lives over to God.

3.0 out of 5 stars Angel With A Broken WIng, August 8, 2011
This review is from: Angel With a Broken Wing (Paperback)
In this book, Mrs. Rhodes writes about the up and downs of her life. She and her second husband, Richard Rhodes, suffered severe financial losses during their marriage. Mostly due to dishonest people. But money was not their focus. Their love was inventing or improving products to help others. They worked in Third World countries, trying to improve their living conditions.

Mrs. Rhodes had many heartaches, including her estranged children. But she had faith in God and a deep love for Mr. Rhodes through all the trials. She includes pictures and newspaper articles in the book, also.

I would like to thank Dorrance Publishing Company for giving me a complimentary copy of this book. You, too, can get books for free from this website,[...]. The book seemed a little drawn out with all the financial problems but I did enjoy the last sections of the book which are entitled, Afterward & Story of the Pearls.
