5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book and Recipes!
This book is fun, well-written, and has lots of yummy recipes included. There are others in this series from Shirley Jump, I would recommend all of them for the same reasons - a great read, and can't-wait-to-try-them recipes.

Virginal Meredith Shordon has dumped her mortician boyfriend and shunned her Indiana roots to make a splash in Boston. First order of business - lose that pesky virginity to virile and sexy bachelor Travis Campbell - whom she met in a singles bar. Travis however is a tough nut to crack; and after waking up to yet another nameless woman, he's decided to remain celibate. But Meredith is a lesson in contradictions. Sexy and innocent at the same time, he's finding it hard (no pun intended) to keep her at arm's length (and from less noble men) while feeding her seafood. And her over protective brothers are making it difficult for them to see each other.

When his beverage company brings her in to test a milk-replacement product, the former "Miss Holstein" is less than thrilled with the product, but that doesn't stop them from using her in advertisements, putting her in the spotlight and bringing shame to the family milk farm. Will Travis be able to get back into her good graces and will her family be able to forgive her?

Jump's latest "romance with recipes" follows the tried and true format - light hearted romance highlighted with interesting themed recipes with cheeky cooking instructions. Though "lobster" lacks the momentum of the first two in the series, it is nevertheless a fun and romantic story which gives updates on characters from the other stories.

The Angel Craved Lobster by Shirley Jump is a G-rated modern romance novel. Meredith comes to Boston to help her cousin and have sex for the first time. She finds a cute kind guy in a bar and makes him an offer. The only problem the Mr. love and leave him finds that Meredith is too special to treat bad...There were parts that were unbelieveable but over all a sweet romance novel.

This is the first time I read this author, the book sounded cute, however it just draggs on and on, without ever getting to the point. I was extremely disappointed, and would not recommend this author again.,

5.0 out of 5 stars It's the journey and not the destination! And this journey is delicious!, August 28, 2005
This review is from: The Angel Craved Lobster (Mass Market Paperback)
Like all of the romance novels from fresh young romance writer, Shirley Jump, this one has humor and heart, a cast of interesting and quirky characters, surprising depth at times, and a dash of something different. Plus it's fun to read the recipes. This book is a great way to spend a long, lazy afternoon at the end of summer!
