Getting a Bit More far Fetched, But Still a Lot of Fun!,
By
This review is from: Angel of Destruction (Anna Fehrbach Thrillers) (Hardcover)
Christopher Nicole's sensational Anna Fehrbach series continues in a seventh book. The Nazi's ultimate weapon is still just as deadly, even though the war and the Nazi party ended a few books ago. She now lives in seclusion on a remote island in the Bahamas with her parents, pets and a few staff. Well most of the time anyway, her wealth is maintained by the CIA who like to use her to remove the odd, unsatisfactory element hiding in or terrorising South America. The Russians still hold a grudge though and are determined to track her down. They decided to enlist the help of the mafia, having grudgingly admitted they will never be able to bring her to them so they can torture and have their fun, they have decided to settle for the mafia to simply bring them her head. Of course the mafia have no idea what they are getting into and think a beautiful blond woman will be a simple task. Throw in the fact Clive her former British Intelligence controllers have a certain nuclear bomb scientist betrayer in South America who needs to be killed, along with a hurricane and you've got another fun read.
The endings are getting pretty predictable in these later novels for those who have read the whole series but the fun is in reading how the story gets there through the eyes of one of the greatest female lead characters ever created. |
