The bloodletting continues.......,

on this release from Germany's Blutengel. While the previous release was more towards the violent part of vapirism in death and love, this release leans more towards the romantic side of bloodletting. Dark and intricate, this cd has more of a classical feel than previous releases. "Stranded" is a highly danceable track with Chris Pohl's rich vocals. He improves with each Blutengel release. What an amazing, brilliant talented man.
Things slow down a bit and take a dark, creepy electronic turn with Chris's rich vocals in a claustrophobic mix in "The End Of Love". He sings ".and every night I feel like crying...what's the reason...tell me why should I stay..." The screaming synths return in a great EBM piece called "Iron Heart" The females in the group take over again in "Our Time" with purring synths Blutengel has used before. Tha is one of the odd charms about Blutengel. The group changes slightly from album to album, sometimes recyling the same sounds, but it always sounds fresh and new. "Vampire Romance Part II" has an Excorcist type piano hook that will leave your foot tapping. I highly recommend this cd.
