5.0 out of 5 stars Loved it!
With TD's books I tend to love them or hate them. I adored this one, especially the setting in the West for a nice change. Very sensual, intriguing characters and a gripping subplot of murder and revenge make this one a keeper. If you are a TD fan and have wondered about her earlier works, give this one a try and I doubt you'll be disappointed.

3.0 out of 5 stars Another hot read by Thea Devine
I think reviewers tend me to very harsh in their criticism of Thea Devine's books. I think some of this is because of her style of writing. I think reviewers tend me to very harsh in their criticism of Thea Devine's books. I think some of this is because of her style of writing. She tends to write with a lot of subtleties and sometimes you need to read a paragraph several times before you understand the point she is trying to make. Also, Devine's books usually have a dark side to them that some people do not care for in a romance novel. Knowing all this after reading several other of her books, I really enjoyed Angel Eyes.

The heroine, Angelina, is young and thinks that money will solve all of her problems and make her happy. She meets a man, Rake, who has seen much of the world and tries to tell her otherwise but realizes she will need to discover this on her own. The story begins in the west and proceeds to New York and London on the run from Angelina's evil mother and her brothers. There are several intense sex scenes but I thought they were a bit more tame than some of Devine's other books. However, I thought the plot in this book was better than some of her other books. Overall, I thought Angel Eyes was a good book and worth the time to read and if you have enjoyed Thea Devine's books in the past it won't disappoint you.

2.0 out of 5 stars Angel Eyes by Thea Devine, March 24, 2000

This review is from: Angel Eyes (Paperback)
I found this book after reading several other books by Devine and I found it to be not as good as her others. The sexiness was similar (pretty hot)but the female character was very wishy washy. The setting was Americana/Western which was different than other settings from her. The general plot about a outlaw on the run was a well used one and it did not read as well as Devine's other books. If you want to start out on a better book by her try Desired(This one sizzles!).
