Product Description

Item Package Quantity: 2

The ANGEL GUARD is a seat belt release cover which acts as a safety barrier that deters children from disengaging the seat belt buckle. In our surveys we have found that children disengaging the seat belt is an ongoing problem that many parents face. In other cases, an older sibling may undo the seat belt which is anchoring a nearby infant seat thereby compromising the safety of the baby. The ANGEL GUARD has become increasingly popular with parents of special needs children as they strive to keep them buckled in as well. The ANGEL GUARD is constructed of Makrolon GP,a high-tech plastic from Bayer. The material is 30 times stronger than acrylic,light-weight, and offers a high level of durability. Easy installation, it takes only seconds to install and disengage. Pack of 2. Fits MOST vehicles 1996 & newer. Not for use in buses.

It appears that the plastic is too brittle to withstand the bending required for removal.

My son is 10 and has a diagnosis of Autism. He doesn't understand the importance of keeping his seatbelt on in the car and finds it stimulating to unclick his seat belt while in the car. We purchased the Angel Guard Seat Belt Button Cover and it has been an answer to our prayers in the car. He cannot push the seatbelt button to unbuckle anymore. Dad and I are able to remove the cover without any problem when getting him out of the car. We were worried about this in case there was an emergency. It is easy enough for us to remove, but our son is unable to remove it himself. Great purchase!

This definitely keeps my 5 year old from unbuckling herself. The only thing is it was extremely hard to unbuckle according to package directions. However I saw a different product which said to push your car key down the slot to unbuckle and that works beautifully.

I bought this product after doing a lot of research for a seat belt button cover. At first it is very hard to remove, but once you figure out the trick it is very easy to use. I found that if you push from the bottom right corner, the Angel Guard is very easy to remove from the seat belt. I would recommend this to anyone.

My 2yr old is (obviously) still in a carseat and she likes to reach down and play with the seat belt buckle. There were also several occasions when her older sister and brother accidently hit the wrong buckle button while undoing the their own seatbelt next to the carseat. This button guard prevents that from happening. I read some of the fewer-starred reviews and I'm not sure why it was reportedly difficult to get on and off. I don't have any trouble with that myself, even though it does foil the escape attempts made by my toddler. I wish I'd found this item when my other kids were little!

Both are broken now. Both broken on the same day, in my hands, about a month after purchasing them. I live in New Mexico, so...maybe the heat.... But I kinda saw a short future with these when I first put them on the buckle. Yes, it came with two. But I need two. Not as a backup, but my 6 year old autistic son also likes to undo his 4 year old sister's buckle too. I drive a 2000 honda accord sedan. Followed the instructions, just don't think the product is strong enough for the desired purpose.

We bought these to keep our autistic son in his seat belt when he decided he would just walk around the van to get snacks or just check things out! They keep him in perfectly, but somehow the inner belt holders broke on one side of the first two. Now we have a second set. They also keep in headstrong 3 year olds who decide to just unlatch and go. The next time one breaks I will instantly order another set to be prepared for the second one to go, or to help with our other children so that I'm not left high and dry for a week or two like I was the last time! We love them, but try to keep emergency evacuation plans in place in case we need to get them out in a hurry. My house key barely makes it to the buckle, my car key is an electronic key-not a normal long key; so for now popsicle sticks are my favorite tools of choice!

My daughter has Angelman Syndrome and she LOVES to release her seat belt. Before we bought this, we need to have an adult sitting next to her in the car at all time just to make sure that her seat belt is buckled. Many times she thinks that unbuckling is a game that she plays with the adult, and it is exhausting! Now we feel so much at ease! When it's time to remove the cover, I followed a reviewer's suggestion to use the key to push the release button. That is a great method!

My 3 year old had to move up to a booster because of her being very tall for her age. But, she kept undoing the seat belt. So, this works well, but does not come off as advertised. But that is OK. Use a key or popsicle stick (i keep one in the car) to undo it. Also, I found it easiest to turn around and pop it open before getting out of the car. Leaning over your child to see is harder.
