Bonnie returns with another stellar album of songs. Her vocals are in perfect form here. Standout tracks include Fools Lullaby, Race to the fire, Sending me angels. It is such a shame that Bonnies career ended here in the U.S. after Holding out for a Hero. She has gone on to record some of the best work of her career. Bonnie has not changed her formula on this cd. Powerhouse rock tracks, great heartfelt ballads, and mid-tempo pop/country tracks that harken back to "Its a heartache" era. This cd is a definite must for any true female rock fan. Other cds to check out by Bonnie include "Bitterblue", Siloutte in Red, and All in one Voice. Bonnie is also currently recording her next project due for a spring 2002 release. It will be cover versions of songs by such artists as U2, and Phil Collins. A++++

The best album of Bonnie Tyler,

This album (1992) is the best album of Bonnie Tyler.A masterpiece! "Take A Chance" is an easy guitar song. "Race To The Fire" is the fast HIT. "Daytime Friends" is a powerful song with the mouth-harmonic. "All We Have Is Tonight" is the best track. Also, I recommend other Bonnie Tyler CDs:

British and American fans remember Bonnie for It's a heartache (1978) and Total eclipse of the heart (1983) in particular, but also for a few other songs such as Lost in France and Holding out for a hero. Although the hits dried up, the quality of her music did not. I suspect poor management was responsible for the failure of her song, The best, to make any impact. Tina Turner recorded it a year later as Simply the best and the rest is history. No wonder, then, that Bonnie has mostly recorded in Germany since then, where her popularity is greatest despite continuing to record in English. This album was recorded there in 1992 and may be described as typical Bonnie Tyler music. Right from the opening bars of Fool's lullaby, Bonnie's fans know that they are in for a treat. A consistently high standard is maintained throughout. Some songs titles may look familiar but don't be deceived. Daytime friends is not the old Kenny Rogers song, though the general idea of the song is similar. Similarly, there have been many different songs titled Call me, but I think this is yet another one. Bonnie is in top form throughout this album, whether singing passionate ballads or driving rock songs. If you enjoy Bonnie's earlier music, you will love this.

I prefer "Bitterblue" to this one - still a couple great songs,
