5.0 out of 5 stars You'll be talking about this one!
The message of this book really hits the target. So intriguing it is hard to set down. I found that I needed several copies to give to friends and business associates. The discussion guide and workbook at the end of the book is very helpful for facilitating discussion amongst a team. It truly is a book you want to talk about.

2.0 out of 5 stars Same "ugly duckling plot" as he always writes with new characters.
Chris Widener is very inspirational, if you read one of his books. If you read more than one, you'll see the same repeated story over and over again with different characters; all of whom are fumbling thru life until they meet the one person who "shows them the ropes." Then, of course, being mentored and enlightened by such a pro, they become successful people...

5.0 out of 5 stars A little book with a BIG message!, April 17, 2007
You will want to re-read this book as soon as you are finished. This makes the quick read of this book a true advantage. Chris Widener has done a great job of tying together the new and the old to come up with a powerful message that is just as valid today as it was in Michelangelo's time.

I was going to name the principles that resonated the most with me but instead I encourage you to read this book and find your favorites for yourself.

This is a great book to pick-up and read over and over again and I know it will make you smile each time.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Perspective on Living, June 8, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is a simple read but it puts it all out there for you to ponder. The questions are who are you living for and why are you doing what you do? To be a success in life it takes more than money and if you don't believe it just look at the rich celebs that are currently in rehab and tell me if they are happy and fullfilled humans.

Find your place in the world and be as good as you can possibly be by following the guidelines in this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Book That Will Change Your Life, October 30, 2009
Once in a while you come a cross a book that is so simple yet so powerful it actually changes your perception of what is possible for you to achieve. This is one of those books. Most of us love a good story and this is a great one. The life lessons that are shared throughout the story provide a road map of how to get from where you are to where you want to be. The only dissapointment comes at the end, and that is because you do not want the book to end. Fortunately the author has written several books, including The Twelve Pillars, which are just as insightful and entertaining. I highly recommend this book for anyone who wishes to have, be, and experience more in their life!

Wow, what a book! What excellent life and career advice! If I could I would buy this book for everyone I know...old or young. I loved the way the author used the statue of David and a young man to reveal key life lessons. These 'lessons' or observations about Michelangelo'sThe Angel Inside: Michelangelo's Secrets For Following Your Passion and Finding the Work You Love David set off 'fireworks' in the brain, and you, the reader, are left in a state of awe...

2.0 out of 5 stars Same "ugly duckling plot" as he always writes with new characters., December 6, 2008

Then, of course, being mentored and enlightened by such a pro, they become successful people themselves. The objective is good, but definitely needs new material. After all, how many versions can you hear of "Why did the chicken cross the road," and still be entertained?
