The story takes place in the Old West and is full of plot twists and turns. The fast paced action filled storyline is driven by a spirited woman called Angel who was given the moniker by the handsome and mysterious Marshall, James Black. Of course there's romance! Check it out! If you like western romances with strong heroines and dashing heroes, you won't be disappointed!

The sky is overcast and we're expecting rain. Don't really want to get out in the weather, so I think I'll just settle down with a hot cup of coffee and a good book. This is how my morning began, and I picked up the book I recently purchased from Amazon.com titled: "Angel and the Lawman". My morning was spent consumed in this beautiful story created by author Barbara W. Starmer. Her book, "Angel and the Lawman" is a story that gives you so much detail that you can literally feel as though you are right there with the characters of the old west. This is a must read, and an awesome gift to friends. Whether you're an avid reader, or don't read often, this is one that will give you hours of pleasure. "Angel and the Lawmen" is such an easy read and I will give it an enthusiastic "5+ Stars". (Angel and the Lawman would make a great Movie!) Thanks for the incredible morning and I look forward to the next book written by Barbara W. Starmer.

Holy smoking barrels, what a great read! Marshal Black is everything you could imagine in a man: smart, sexy, honest, and just a little bit ornery. He is the perfect foil for the sweet, intriguing, and beautiful Alex. There are so many wonderful things about this book. The writing is smooth and paints a vivid picture of the west and the troubles faced by the brave people that started lives out there. The author intertwines mystery, romance, and treachery into a page turning read. The West blazes to life with each character in the book. The bad guys are terribly bad and the good guys are extraordinary. You can picture this up on the big screen as an old fashioned western; with gunslingers, outlaws, stolen kisses and a high drama trial, there is absolutely nothing missing. As the story draws to a close you will find yourself wishing for more and looking for the next story from Ms. Starmer. - Helen Ruby

This story starts out with a grab your throat, intense style of writing that will keep you reading until it's finished. Young Alexandra O'Shay Wild sets off on an adventure that will change her life. A chance meeting with a mysterious man in black throws her into a western saga that puts Linda Lael Miller to shame. I got a real feel for the old west and makes me think I should have been right beside Alex during the whole ordeal. Her mysterious savior turns out to be the Marshal for the whole Oklahoma territory and his reputation for a fast gun, lethal reactions and unknown background makes him an enticing character you won't soon forget. The romance grows gradually until there is no turning back for either one of them. This story warms your heart and really makes you feel that happily ever after can exist if you love enough. I give it 5 stars, great read and recommend it to anyone who loves romance or western historical fiction.

This is a story about an Irish immigrant that seeks out her long lost father in Oklahoma City. The character Alexandra is not only believable but enticing at the same time. Marshal Black is a hottie you just want to bring home with you. Alex's journey takes her from coast to coast where by chance she meets the mysterious Marshal Black. This is not an erotica type novel, but it has some steamy scenes that make you want to run home to your significant other. I loved the pace, action and romance that buds into full blossom. It's an action packed, romantic suspense novel you just can't put down. I highly recommend "Angel and the Lawman".
