"Whenever we have relationships involving fear of any kind, we form an unhealthy attachment to one another. This attachment is like a leash that says, 'Don't change!', 'Don't leave me!', or 'Don't hurt me!'. These attachments are both palpable and visible when you notice them. I call them 'etheric cords', because they look like surgical tubing attached from one person to another. (In some cases, the cords go from a person to a material object that they're afraid of losing.) Etheric cords are hardened forms of dysfunction, which you can notice with your psychic senses."

Doreen explains how these etheric cords can drain energy without our conscious awareness, and how others can send us negative energy through this cord--often resulting in physical pain that appears to have no medical cause. Some simple but effective cord-cutting methods she shares includes:

I am so glad this book is finally out. I have been using the Angel Medicine Meditation CD daily, and it has really helped me during an extremely stressful year. While you are listening to the CD, Doreen actually walks you through a visualization with all the Arch Angels and the processes listed in the book. I bought the book for more information. And the book is just as wonderful as the companion CD. I highly recommend this book and the companion CD. I also recommend Doreen's other books, too. All of her books are informative, fast reads. They all provide in plain language information to help you connect with your inner guides, release the past, and nourish your soul.

Angel Medicine "How To Heal the Body and Mind With the Help of the Angels" by Doreen Virtue, Ph. D., is another of the prolific author's metaphysical adventures in healing. She is from a family of healers with much experience of faith healing. On a recent trip to Santorini Island in Greece she experienced contact with a group of angels called the "Angels of Atlantis" and was transmitted many of their healing formulas and ancient Atlantean knowledge about the healing properties of love and light. The book details her metaphysical and physical experiences in Santorini, the volcanic island which many believe is the location of the ancient Atlantis. Although, most readers will find her fantastic mystical experiences to be beyond belief (and to many a bit wacky), the author has many case histories of healings according to the angelic directions. Doreen also gives the reader detailed instructions of how to entreat angelic intervention in many kinds of healing: from finances and automobiles to physical and emotional ills of people and pets. At the end of the book you'll find a very interesting guide to the use of color and crystals for healing. A little too fantastic or simplistic for most people in our Western society, the methods detailed here could be the common medical practices of past or future civilizations

Having received a copy of this wonderful book before it was released here in Canada and the States, I must say that its a book that you will be amazed with and learn so much from. Let the angels guide you along the path for you will be learning so much about who you truly are through this book.

Angel Medicine is wonderfully written by Doreen and all that will receive this in whatever way spirit guides it to you, will receive benefit.

I must give thanks to Doreen for being the inspiration of many as we all receive benefit through the words in each book that she has written and through her workshops.

I would have to say this is my favorite Doreen Virtue Book, and my favorite Angel book in general. Ms. Virtue has a wonderful writing style that effortlessly connects the reader into the Realm of the Angels and Healing, instilling both faith and belief where they have been lost.

The book is divided into three parts. Part one covers her journey to Santorini Island in Greece, and describes how she discovered her connection to Atlantis. Part Two covers the steps to angelic healing, and Part Three gives the healing methods; including working with crystals, cord cutting and psychic protection.

There are also several easy to read charts, including a chart on the chakras, Archangels Association Guide and a crystal selection chart.

This is an excellent book for both the beginning and more experienced angel worker, and I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in finding out more about the realm of the angels or Atlantis.

I always find Doreen Virtue's books to be a wonderful reading experience. This is definitely one of my favorites so far. The book is divided into 3 parts. The first part describes Doreen's experiences that lead to her writing this book, and her travels in Greece during that time. This part is enjoyable and helps the reader to understand where she got a lot of the information for the book. Part 2 discusses ways to apply angel medicine in your life, with easy to follow guidelines and advice. Also included are many personal stories that people have shared with Doreen. I find these get a bit redundant after awhile, and only skimmed some of them as I was eager to get on with the rest of the book. Part 3 clearly outlines angel healing methods, a few of which can be found in her previously released books (such as etheric cord cutting), but most of which are new. Also included at the end is a list of crystals with specific ailments that they may be helpful for. I like how the book is divided into parts,as this makes it easy to refer back to specific topics. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who is interested in angels, Atlantis, Greek mythology, or alternative healing methods. For the newcomer to Doreen's work I would recommend reading "The Lightworkers Way" first, but this isn't absolutely necessary, as she does supply a short introduction.

The first part of this book was slow, but further on into the chapters it was great!! I use it as a reference book lots and have even let my daughter read it who likes it as well. Very informative and would recommmend it to anyone who wants to know about the wonderful life of angels

I was interested in finding more techniques. The bulk of the book was about Atlantis, if I wanted to read about Atlantis I wouldn't have bought this book. Atlantis has more to deal with crystals then angels and it is mostly an autobiography with some thoughts in the back on how to do things. Some of the correspondences to the angels aren't what I'm used to and feels distinctly off. If your interested in Atlantis I'd say go for it, otherwise don't bother, there are other resources out there.

This author always has a unique look at religious views. Practical applications and a lot of stories illustrating what the angels have done for folks. No scientifc proof but the author freely and upfront says so. I like this author and have had positive experiences using some of her instructions. If for no other reason her ideas do no harm and are very good for stress and the everyday worries we all have. I enjoy her books and you can read in one gulp or piecemeal and still come away with a different perspective than you started.

I love this book! so much to learn from it! I first read the second part of the book as I was not really interested in Doreen's personal experiences...but I still read the first part of the book and got pleasantly surprised by the interesting piece of information that could be found in those first chapters.
it's a question of taste, but everyone should read this book !
