This is an inspirational book that will give you great comfort. I love the fact that there are numerous stories, all that are short. It is a book you can easily pick up if you only have a few minutes time to read. If you didn't believe in Angels before, you might very well change your mind after reading this delightful book. I highly recommend it!

Brad Steiger (and his wife Sherry) have a paranormal newsletter or "Steiger Questionnaire of Mystical and Paranormal Experiences" that they have distributed since 1968. He/they have published numerous books about scary paranormal experiences that people have written them about so I guess it makes sense that they would publish a book about the "happy" and not scary experiences people have had as well.

I loved reading Joan Wester Anderson's lovely and uplifting books about Angels. I was looking for more of the same when I ran across this book by the Steigers. Being a Christian I will tell you that the books by Joan Wester Anderson are all based in the Christian and biblical belief system. In other words, the miracles she writes about are biblical and there were no alarm bells going off when I was reading those books. It was uplifting and nourishing to my spirit. You could find scripture to back up all that was in her books. Not so with this book Angel Miracles by the Steigers.

I am not about to bash anyone's beliefs in this review. That is NOT why I'm writing this. I'm writing it so that if you are a Christian and are considering buying this book expecting to read about ONLY Christian experiences then I am telling you right now that that is not the case with this book.

About 50% of the stories in this book are based on experiences from all sorts of beliefs, a lot of which Christians would say are NOT from the God of Abraham, Isaac & Jacob.

Cloaked figures that speak of world peace and unity of our spirits and who say other "alarming" things (alarming to Christians) are all through this book, there are also channeled spirits (although not pointed out as such)..... there are some lovely and uplifting encounters with true messengers of the God of Abraham, Isaac & Jacob....if you were to "test the spirits" in this book, I would guess that fully 1/2 or more would fail. If you are Christian you know what I'm talking about.

I'm trying to be specific because I know people worship different things....so know this, in this book there are spirits that are NOT of God/Jesus/Holy Spirit. Which is fine if that is what you are expecting but to me, it made it more difficult to enjoy the stories until I knew where they were headed about 1/2 way through each story.

I think I've said enough - like I stated, I'm not bashing this book or anyone else and what they believe, just clarifying for Christians who may be looking for more Godly angel stories.

Have you ever wondered...or sworn that there is some form of being watching over your shoulder? I know I have one, and have seen her ever since a dark day well over 18 years ago.
This entry by Brad and Sherry is a collection of relayed stories, each story anywhere from 2 to 8 pages long, of people who have encountered traditional angels. Stories range from intervention in accidents, to those who have had an intervening hand all throughout their lives. On had had help since his days in Vietnam, another who had an interesting hitchhiker, and yet another, a simple visit while preying over his dying father. Like a box of candy, each entry is sweet, yet different, though all with a simple lesson behind it.
For those already familiar with Brad and Sherry's "Miracle" series, this entry follows the same format; all short stories with no commentary or theorizing. This book concentrates almost completely on traditional angels in human form, which personally, I find is the only drawback. Except for a few pages mentioning angelic encounters that my have to do with Totems (angelic encounters with heavenly beings in the form of animals, much like my own, who is a she-wolf), there are no mentions of angelic encounters with animal figures. I do not consider this much of a deterrent, as the encounters are quite similar, and with it's release near the Holidays, it's mostly aimed at mainstream religious beliefs. It does not matter. though, to which denomination you belong. Except for a few entries in which the experiencer mentions a catholic background, anyone from any denomination will enjoy this book. If you believe in angels in any form, this book will truly warm your heart.

i like angel books, they are always uplifting, angel miracles is just that. a feel good book!

This is a good book if you already believe in Angels. It helps to know that some of the things that have happened to you happen to others. The most important thing I came away with was that Angels work in different ways. Keep aware of what you ask for from them and you will see them answer you, sometimes through a commercial, a song, someone else's words or even a voice that seems to come from nowhere.
