Not enough support,

I'm perplexed by all of the positive reviews for this product. The sides of the support make it look like it would provide plenty of support. But in fact the mesh that your back leans against does not come out as far as the sides would indicate. Right where your back would touch this support is where it provides the least support, if that makes sense. It's just a meash streched out over the frame. Anyway, this did not hold my low back in a "lordosis" or properly curved position. Right now I'm using a small pillow and waiting for my McKenzie lumbar support pillow to arrive.

Lumbar support,

Great lumbar support!!! I'm a quilter and am in the chair for long periods of time. I notice I have less back fatigue with these supports. I bought 4 supports. 2 for my chairs and 2 as gifts for several of my quilting friends. They love them as well. My only thought is that the company should include a how-to note as to how to attatch it to a chair. We were making it way more difficult than it was. It is super easy to install when you understand what to do!!! It just slips right on!

Makes those 100 dollar chairs still useful,

I have at home one of those high-back office chairs that have a little curve for lumbar support. It's not sufficient but this little device makes it a chair I can still use. I also placed one on my car seat and that too has lumbar support but it too is insufficient. This product helps a lot.
Then I introduced this at work. We use the same cheap office chairs at work (I think we got them for 100 but they might be up to 150 now). I had these ordered there too. We ordered enough at work for all the people in the office, so everybody is using them. They like them. This product gives a greater depth of lumbar support than smaller devices that some of us had been using. Of course, I'd much rather have an ergonomic chair. But that's a budget issue. This is inexpensive enough to not be a budget issue and it makes those high-backed office chairs last longer. The funny thing is all those inexpensive office chairs have that little curve for lumbar support and at the time of purchase, some years ago, everybody thought that was pretty good. On the subject of inexpensive things one can buy for one's back, I also recommend the green strap: Stretch-Out Strap with 40 page booklet. The stretch-out green strap is for stretching your hamstrings, hips & quads. It provides great relief and allows you to use greater force to make the stretches and open up the area of the sciatic nerve.
