Not enough support,

I'm perplexed by all of the positive reviews for this product. The sides of the support make it look like it would provide plenty of support. But in fact the mesh that your back leans against does not come out as far as the sides would indicate. Right where your back would touch this support is where it provides the least support, if that makes sense. It's just a meash streched out over the frame. Anyway, this did not hold my low back in a "lordosis" or properly curved position. Right now I'm using a small pillow and waiting for my McKenzie lumbar support pillow to arrive.

Lumbar support,

Great lumbar support!!! I'm a quilter and am in the chair for long periods of time. I notice I have less back fatigue with these supports. I bought 4 supports. 2 for my chairs and 2 as gifts for several of my quilting friends. They love them as well. My only thought is that the company should include a how-to note as to how to attatch it to a chair. We were making it way more difficult than it was. It is super easy to install when you understand what to do!!! It just slips right on!

Makes those 100 dollar chairs still useful,

I have at home one of those high-back office chairs that have a little curve for lumbar support. It's not sufficient but this little device makes it a chair I can still use. I also placed one on my car seat and that too has lumbar support but it too is insufficient. This product helps a lot.
Then I introduced this at work. We use the same cheap office chairs at work (I think we got them for 100 but they might be up to 150 now). I had these ordered there too. We ordered enough at work for all the people in the office, so everybody is using them. They like them. This product gives a greater depth of lumbar support than smaller devices that some of us had been using. Of course, I'd much rather have an ergonomic chair. But that's a budget issue. This is inexpensive enough to not be a budget issue and it makes those high-backed office chairs last longer. The funny thing is all those inexpensive office chairs have that little curve for lumbar support and at the time of purchase, some years ago, everybody thought that was pretty good. On the subject of inexpensive things one can buy for one's back, I also recommend the green strap: Stretch-Out Strap with 40 page booklet. The stretch-out green strap is for stretching your hamstrings, hips & quads. It provides great relief and allows you to use greater force to make the stretches and open up the area of the sciatic nerve.

This product is so bad I cannot believe that the sellers sell it. I received it in great condition but as soon as I put it on my chair it would not stay put as it only has one very weak strap to attach to a chair. The strap broke within the first week. I tried to fix it but to no avail. My wife used a bungee strap to use by poking holes through the mesh back and put the bungee strap hooks through the
material covered ends, which lasted for about four weeks. The bungee strap was too much for this horrible product and I ended up spending $$ to find a good lumbar chair which I did at a local office store.

Got rid of my lower back pain!,

I had started to get lower back pain after sitting in my new office chair for a few days. The chair does not have adequate lower back support and that may be the reason for the pain. I didn't have this pain before. So, I decided to try this product, got the set of two, put one on my office chair and one on my car's driver seat. My findings about PosturePro Lumbar Support are are detailed below as pros and cons:
PROS: 1. I used it continuously for about 5 months and I do not have any back pain now. Hurray! I did get a new bed for sleeping and that might have helped but I definitely give credit to this lumbar support product for relieving my back pain. 2. Its non-medicinal and not expensive either. CONS: 1. Positioning this is a little bit tricky and even if you position it correctly it slips in a few minutes and you have to adjust it again. This becomes really annoying after a while. 2. If you have an enlarged tummy, this makes you look slightly fatter at the waist when you sit on it due to the posture it makes you sit in, although this is very minor problem.

Lacks support,

The PosturePro (PP) has a single elastic band to secure it to the chair back but I find the PP slips down so that I need to reach back and reposition it constantly. Also the mesh seems to flatten out easily. On the plus side, it is inexpensive and provides mild to moderate lumbar support and is somewhat helpful in maintaining the lumbar curve while I'm seated. I use it on my home desk chair and my Aeron chair at work but I'm still looking for something better.

Works as I expected,
This review is from: Angel Sales Set of 2 PosturePro Lumbar Support (Electronics)
I have been using one at work and one in the car/carpool for the past three weeks. It's definitely more comfortable than a lumbar pillow I had borrowed, and I love the air circulation on a hot day.
The support will not stay in place very well on an office chair as depicted in the picture. However, I was able to stuff a rolled towel in between the seat and back support to keep the lumbar support from slipping in the open space. I need the most support right at the very base of my backbone, so this works great for me without having to worry about adjusting the height of it on my seat. The support would not be nearly as convenient if I needed to adjust it several inches higher. As mentioned in an earlier review, the straps should not be placed around a car seat with side air bags.

After searching through all the offerings of lumbar supports, most are sold individually...this product is not only a great price, but it is a great price for two nice quality items.
They were as promised, well made from good materials, and easily slipped over my car seats. The benefits of using these PosturePro Lumbar Supports are already beginning to show. The support is firm, yet soft enough to be comfortable, and the mesh material is great for providing ventilation between your back and the seat, making these ideal for hot weather trips. I'm quite happy with these. May this help you in making your purchases. M.

Be careful- $4 one is not PosturePro brand,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Angel Sales Set of 2 PosturePro Lumbar Support (Electronics)
If you search for PosturePro on Amazon you will see two different items. One is about $4 each (or 2 for $8) and the other is $14. Here is a link to Amazon's own item page that should display the $14 one but I'm not sure if they will remove the link for whatever reason. If it's removed you can search for PosturePro and find the $14 one. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000AP0HY4/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&m=ATVPDKIKX0DER The $14 one is PosturePro and the $4 one is something called "Mesh Back Support" even though it is advertised under PosturePro. PosturePro is heavier in a good way, more sturdy, and the elastic bands seem stronger. I have bought both types so I was able to make these comparisons. There are reviews of the bands breaking for some customers and I believe they have the "Mesh Back Support" one. The Mesh Back Support one is also sold at my local dollar store for $1 each which I found out later. The main reason for my 1 star review is the misleading advertising. They should advertise this under its real brand name so customers know that there is a reason this costs $4 and not $14. It is less quality and doesn't seem as comfortable as the $14 PosturePro. |
