I bought 2 of these to try out, because one spot light usually creates too much shadows when you are reading, and with this product ,one is not bright enough for reading. The biggest problem when trying to buy LED lights is that they don't specify the brightness of the light like other types of illumination products, there are no units of Watts, Lux or even mcd number for this unit, even on the package, all it says " Powerful Ultra-Bright white lifetime LED" no way to compare to other LEDs out there in the effective brightness. Although I quick search on the internet showed that these small 5mm LEDs come in brightness ranging from 800 to over 30,000 mcd (millicandles), You don't have to care about this if all you need is a task light to work under the sink, but if you want to do some precisiong work then this becomes essential info. This unit is VERY bright if you use it to see in pitch dark places (one unit is bright enough) if you want to use this to read in the dark, you will probably be better off using 2 units together, one on each ear, this way you have more light, less shadow and your eyes don't get tired fast. I actually bought these to work on some precise lab work; I thought they would be lighter than the Halogen Headlamp I am currently using, 2 problems; these LEDs are not bright at all if you have ambient light. And the biggest weakness of this product is the EAR Ring, It is made of Hard Stiff THIN plastic which makes it very uncomfortable after a while. Which I hope they'll fix in the future. Also it is hard to adjust where the beam falls. All in all, Great Flash light replacement, Nice reading light.

I love mine - for more than just night reading,

4-1/2 stars
Positives: Small, lightweight, slips over your ear. Perfect for reading in bed, on flights or in your car when traveling. Hands free, so if you need to get up during the night it lights your way without disturbing a sleeping spouse - no hassle of balancing and pointing a clip type. It only takes one AAA battery and reading each night for an hour or two last me a few weeks. Negatives: Can move around or out of place if you don't adjust the tightness adequately - the ear piece is flexible to tighten or loosen. Also it can glare on the Kindle reader screen but that can be remedied easily enough by angling the Kindle just slightly. I still like it better than clipping something on the Kindle. It can be used for various things not just reading as it is hands free - sewing, repairing jewelry, whatever. Thumbs up on this one.

Angel Sales I Sight Mini Task Light I have had this product for about 1 month. This light replaces a similar task light that I had and used for about 2 years. I would still be using this old light but my son stepped on it and broke the ear piece. The other model had 1 AAA battery(inexpensive to replace) that lasted about 2 mos at a time. This new task light uses 2 very expensive batteries that already need to be replaced, battery compartment is difficult to open and the ear piece slips on my ear.

Light working well (got it as a gift for my father). Only complaint is that the earpiece could be more flexible to wrap-around the ear and hold more tightly.

I was really disappointed in the quality of the Angel Sales I Sight Light. Granted, it only cost $12.95, but it only lasted one day. We were not rough on it and used it exactly the way it was meant to be used and yet it stopped working after a few uses. Don't waste your money.

Making a good product bad,

Why mess with a great product? The original I-Sight ran off of one AAA battery ($1.00 each). If the battery failed, it could be changed in the dark by feel. The newer and non-improved version requires two specialized batteries (#2523, which sell for $6.00 each) and require lights on,a quarter to open the battery guard, and the patience to fumble with the batteries and battery case. The new batteries may make the light last slightly longer, but they cost twelve times as much. Also, because there is only a press-on/press-off switch with no guard, it is easy for the light to be triggered while in a bedside drawer or suitcase. With $12 of batteries in the case, that makes it far more annoying than when there was just one $1 battery. Someone ought to shake the geniuses at I-Sight who managed to devolve their product and help them realize that bigger companies than them (think Coca-Cola)admitted error and brought back the superior product.

I did a very positive review for this item in the past, but came back to buy another one and the price has jumped again! I have had this exact light for years and it works well. I like that it runs on a AAA battery -- many others run on expensive button batteries. But, I bought mine for $7. Then a few years later bought one for a friend for $11. Now, I'm back to buy one for my brother and mother, but at $18 now way! I will try another similar light for less than half the cost. Bub-bye.

The light itself is bright enough for my uses...crocheting in the car on road trips.
But...if I stretched my arm out to pull yarn from the skein, the light would move. If I turned my head to have a conversation or look out the window into the dark night, the light would move. It never stayed in one place for long, even tho I did. The idea of the product is great. But the style and functionality lacks.

Nothing much to say, it seems to be a great light for my wife to read with and it does not bother my sleep.
