Nikoo McGoldrick, a mechanical engineer, and James McGoldrick, a professor of English with a Ph.D. in sixteenth-century British literature, collaborate in life as well as in literature. Writing under the name Jan Coffey, they write contemporary suspense thrillers for MIRA and Young Adult romantic thrillers for HarperCollins/Avon. Under the name of May McGoldrick, they produce historical romance novels for Penguin Putnam, and Young Adult historicals for HarperCollins/Avon. Under their own names, they are the authors of the nonfiction work, Marriage of Minds: Collaborative Fiction Writing. These prolific and popular authors have been the recipients of numerous awards for their work. Nikoo and Jim McGoldrick are storytellers with a checkered past.
From the submarine shipyards of Electric Boat in Groton, Connecticut, and the clubs of Rodeo Drive, to the forges of Pennsylvania and the electronics manufacturers of Massachusetts, these two have spent their lives gathering material for their novels. Nikoo, a manufacturing engineer, and Jim, who has a Ph.D. in sixteenth-century British literature, wrote their first full-length novel in 1994. Since then, Jim and Nikoo have written twenty-seven novels and a work of nonfiction.
They write under the pseudonyms of May McGoldrick, Jan Coffey, and Nicole Cody.

These prolific and popular authors have been the recipients of numerous awards for their work. They now reside in Watertown, Connecticut.

This is the first book I have read of May and Jim McGoldricks'. They are a great writing couple. I love their characters, their strength, intelligence and the love they had for each other. The honesty they shared...none of the usual hate, love drivel. They kept me in suspense but not for so long I lost interest. They know how to cut to the chase and I can't get enough of their writing. I am now compiling a library of all their great KEEPERS.

The story of Fiona and Alec was just wonderful. The McGoldricks wrote another great novel. Fiona was the perfect heroine and Alec was a perfect complement to her. The way the entire story was revealed was spellbinding. This book is a must to read for anyone who enjoys a good romance, mystery, or someone who just likes a very good story.
