More About the Author

Lisa Grace's Angel Series "Angel in the Shadows Book 1", and "Angel in the Storm, Book 2" are in development for a major movie through Motion Picture Pro Studios, whose owner has been involved in six Academy Award winning films including: "Fargo", "Shakespeare in Love", "Life is Beautiful", and "The Usual Suspects."
Lisa Grace lives on the waterfront along the West Coast of Florida with her husband and daughter.
"When the summers get too hot, we migrate to our cabin in the northern woods of Wisconsin along with our dwarf Netherland's albino bunny. We leave our manatee, dolphin, and a wild turkey (what kind of seagull is that?) at home in the Gulf. Somehow they manage to get along without us," Lisa says. "I also enjoy rescuing gopher tortoises (tip: hold them far out because they tend to pee when you pick them up) and setting them free in a nearby preserve. For the injured ones I know a vet who fiberglasses them back together again."
Angel in the Ice, Book 3, released April 27th, 2012.
A compilation of the first three books titled "Angel Series (Books 1, 2, & 3)" released May 31st, 2012.
"Angel in the Fire, Book 4" is in the writing stage with an estimated release date of whenever my agents say it is okay (PENDING A PAPERBACK DEAL.) "Angel in the Light, Book 5" will complete the current story arc for the Angel Series.
She has two new series in the developmental stage (Society of the D. E. A. D. and FEUDAL Land); and has released her adult historical thrillers "The 15th Star" and "True Treasure", plus "30 Minutes of Flash Fiction" by Lisa Grace and Jarrod Nelson.

I just finished reading this and can't wait for book 3. If you like stories about the supernatural, you will like this series.

It's a life or death situation. Megan has to make choices and resist temptation, just like we all do. When her friends join in the battle, it puts all of their lives in danger. It's a good reminder that there are supernatural forces at war around us, whether we can see them or not. Prayer is so important.

Things you should know: 1) Read book 1. Since I had read "Angel in the Shadows" I knew what was going on, but I think you will be lost if you don't read it. It's worth it! 2) There are a number of grammatical errors that I found slightly distracting, but not enough to tear me away from the story. 3) The good guys win the war, but not every battle. 4) Be prepared to want book 3 when you're done.

I found this book to be "preachy" and dogmatic. The story was marginal. It was slightly interesting but each and every move the kids made was beaten to death, gone over and over until it completely lost its suspense. The characters of the detectives were stereotypical. It's easy to make to "grown-ups" either insensitive and stupid or the "out-to-get-you" types, and I was hoping for more from this author. Sadly, in her story only the kids really understand the big picture - not a single enlightened adult. Perhaps a teen would appreciate this view, I guess that's possible. But it's not realistic and it's not true - and I am very disappointed in this book.

The story could have been longer for my liking, but maybe I just read it so quickly as it was so gripping. This is a real page turner. The story is exciting and progresses quickly. It follows on brilliantly from the previous book. After the first book I wanted to read the second, and it did not disappoint, however after Megan's deal with the devil I question if I want to read the next book as I am not sure where it can go from here. Throughout the book it is clear that Megan's soul belongs to God, however I felt her deal with the devil was out of character for a Christian and that she lacked trust and for Christian fiction I thought it diminished the grace, power and greatness of God. I enjoyed the story, but some of the underlying messages were a bit too disrespectful for my liking. In the first book Megan showed strength of character and conviction in her beliefs and how she practice her faith whilst in this book she appears lukewarm despite having the council of an Angel all the time. The temptations she experienced should have been expanded to let the reader know how she struggled with it as her behaviour to me seemed out of character and weak, not the same girl we met in the first book, I also thought that her relationship with Seth in this book comes across as superficial, lacking any depth or any of the intensity you would expect from most teenage relationships. I don't know about the next book, but as a story I enjoyed this one.

Now this book I enjoyed. Following where the last book left off, this book dives in a war that has been battled since the beginning of time. A war for souls, salvation, and life.

Now what I loved about this book is we see the main character Megan fall more. Her faith is rattled and this times she make mistakes as all Christians make. Even I, a Christian makes mistakes everyday. I say something wrong, do something wrong, but every time I fall, I rely on God's grace to get me through those times. Megan begins to rely on God and not on herself. Many times we think we can do it all on our own and the truth is, we can't. We need help and God's grace.

The plot line of this book didn't waver in as much action as I wanted it to be but still gave a pretty good read. Megan's brother is captured, now Megan must bargain with evil to find where he is at. I like that Megan is pressed into a hard wall. The story line felt much more realistic as we deal with all kinds of uncertainties everyday. And the best part is, when Megan's faith began to fall, God shows up and did some great miracles.

I really enjoyed this book better than the first book. Megan's characters isn't as perfect (no Christian is) but she uses God's word and held on to the faith. A great Christian read that had an great ending leaving me excited for the next book.

This I my second Lisa Grace book. I find her writing enjoyable to read. I loved the Peretti books and hers are a lot like them. But Lisa, maybe you should have someone read them who will help you find misspellings and grammatical errors. There were a lot more in this one than the Angel in the Shadow. I still really enjoyed the book. Blessings!

While this volume isn't quite as good as #1, it's not far behind, and I highly recommend it to people who like the genre; my family and I really enjoy Lisa's Angel series...
