Sounds A Bit The Same,

The sound is very good. This is in my opinion, Last Day of April's best cd. But the songs begin to sound the same and repetitive. That's the only real complaint, but it becomes a big one. Glowing Me, Choking You is the best, in my humble opinion.

These mellow tunes are some of the best heard since a long time, i have bin waiting for something like this! The texts are somewhat sad but also very honest, at the end "their getting there". This is a record that is good the first time u hear it, but it's one of thouse albums that grow on you. If i was u i would buy 2 of them in case one gets lost;)

This Swedish band is one of my favories. I discovered them thanks to a song they had on Deep Elm's Emo Diaries series, and proceeded to buy all of their import albums and EPs. They were all very solid, but this album sees the band really step it up a notch. They have gone beyond the straight forward guitar-bass-drums set up, and added some nice touches. Not only are there a variety of instruments, effects and great production techniques on this album, but the songs are their best batch yet. Although there are a couple that I skip over when I listen to the album, the majority are wonderful and powerful. Highly recommended for fans of the Apleseed Cast, Camden or other similar bands.

amazing, a more experimental release from this excellent band, but it doesn't fail to meet the big expectations carried from the beautiful "rainmaker". stunning guitar work and an excellent string section more than complements the powerful yet comforting vocals, which is enough to like this band alone. notice the incredible production, digital sampling and an interesting instrumental. stunning to the new fans, and pleasing to the old. polished and romantic.

if indie rock is a peanut butter sandwich than undoubtedly last days of april is a peanut butter sandwich made with the good peanut butter along with potato chips, bananas, jelly and probably a few other things as well. their approach is melodic and heavily layered with keyboards and strings added at times to compliment the mix. chances are good that if you are a fan of built to spill, you'd probably enjoy "angel youth" regardless of whether or not my comparison holds any water. definitely worth checking out. yahtzeen.com
