This is the story of Pringle and her changing life. Now, Pringle doesn't like the idea of her life changing, not at all. But, unfortunately for her, life does change. This story is meant to be realistic fiction, and I could easily see it truly happening. I like reading how Pringle deals with her feelings about her boyfriend, the nice neighbor next door, her job disaster, and her best friend's marriage. I think if you're looking for a nice escape, Angel on My Shoulder is a great candidate.Yes, this is Christian Lit. But, in my opinion, it's not overly preachy or overbearing. I enjoyed the storyline and the Christianity that was in the book was very realistic. It basically revolved around people turning to prayer for answers to their life's questions, which many of us tend to do.

There were so many spelling and grammar errors that took away from my enjoyment. Storyline was pretty good but the errors were everywhere. Needs to be edited again.

Pringle is at a crossroad. Over a very short span, she gets engaged to a man she has dated for the last two years and looses a job she loves. Already not quite sure she is ready for marriage, and painfully aware she has only lukewarm feelings for her fiancée, the loss of her career adds to the pressures of her life. Pringle will have to put everything into perspective before deciding on the road ahead. What I liked : in it clearly a christian-value novel. It's clean and all characters act in a responsible, sensitive, moral manner. Although they are not perfect, they strive to do their best. They are shown as real people, with tempers, faults and doubts about the future. For a christian fiction, it is not preachy. The author manages to show us what life can be without resorting to long prayer passages. Very nicely done. What I did not like as much : the heroine Pringle. It is pretty clear from the beginning that she does not want to be engaged and indeed, should not be based on her feelings for her fiancée. A lot of people lose their jobs and do not make a hollywood production out of it. I found her spoiled and self-centered. The novel spends too much time on Pringle state of mind and really, neither her nor her problems were that interesting. Bottom-line : great way to showcase christian values without going overboard, very light reading.

A cute story, nothing unpredictable happened but was a nice read to fill a few hours. I am going to leave the details of this book to the other reviewers.
