This instructional DVD is beneficial to anyone who sits at a desk long hours and is looking for a way to move the entire body efficiently and effectively. The program is equally beneficial for anyone who, because of chronic problems or age or size may have limitations in endurance, mobility or flexibility, including those recovering from an illness, injury or surgery. The DVD is divided into seven sections including an introduction, centering and conscious breathing, neck, shoulder and back stretches, leg and hip stretches, the seated warrior series, standing poses, hand stretches and self massage, and meditation.
This yoga program is wonderful! Angelena's delightful voice and easy to understand directions gave me a peaceful place from which to relax into the stretches and postures. I especially appreciate doing the program in the comfort of my own my own home, at the hour I choose. The chair concept supports you as much or as little as you need; and I really like that! This is an excellent CD for beginners but it s also a good choice for intermediate students looking for a gentle experience that focuses on breath and sensation. Just enough information and imagery is interjected to provide context for the postures. Directions are clear and concise without being dry. Angelena continually draws the attention back to alignment and awareness and offers alternatives to the more difficult positions.
