My husband and I really enjoy crossword puzzles. The LA Times books are challenging yet not impossible to solve. I would not reccomend these puzzles for a beginner. And of course, crossword folks seem to have their own language and take liberties with grammer and spelling, but fun & frustrating none the less!
Puzzle 23 in this book is awful! There were spaces missing, and answers that had too many spaces. The editors missed a lot on this one. it was very dissapointing.

These are not quite as hard as the NY Times Sunday ones, but hard enough to keep you on your toes. Easy ones are no fun & 'impossible' ones are no fun. These are just right.
