Book Description

***An adventurous fantasy series of epic proportions…***

An army of angels walks among us. They have kept us safe and ignorant − so far. Earthbound for centuries and ruled by the Elders, they have established hidden cities, a society and the Code: obey your Elders, kill all demons, eliminate Rogue-angels, protect the mortals, remain hidden. Their warriors are the ungifted Earthborn angels armed with blades and the “borrowed magics” of distilled angel-blood tattoos.

Alyxandria is a young warrior with a fondness for customized knives and illegal night-races. She trains harder than any other to prove she is nothing like her parents who abandoned her to become Rogues. Now that Alyx has begun to have visions, everything in her world is about to change. Lies will be uncovered − from death of the Archangel Raphael two thousand years ago to the truth about her parents. She will be betrayed. And she will be forced to risk everything for a mortal she barely knows.

A dark plan, a keye to unlock Hell, the lost pieces of an Amulet that controls Lucifer and his army… Join Alyx through the Dark Angel saga as she battles to stop Evil from fulfilling a prophecy that warns of the greatest war this Earth will ever know.

It begins in Angelfire...

***Angeldust (Dark Angel #5), the final book in the series, is coming soon***

3.0 out of 5 stars Good book but didn't expect the abrupt ending January 28, 2013
By Rayden
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This book is actually quite interesting and engaging and I was thoroughly enjoying reading it till it came to the last chapter. I actually didn't realize this was the first of other parts yet to come and the book just ends abruptly with half a page of what to expect in the next book coming soon. I am not a regular reader and buy very few books each year and hence I don't know if this is the norm nowadays but it did leave me kind of disappointed. If I just knew this book was not going to end then I would have enjoyed the ending more and would look forward to the next instalment.

Overall though a good book and like I mentioned above, interesting and engaging. Few grammatical errors though that were surprising as they were easy to spot but not a deal breaker.

Angelfire (Dark Angel #1)Review

Wow, this was an amazing book. I really got into it, and could see the world through Alyx's eyes. I will admit a few parts did have me confused, as in I was not sure on the whole wings part, like if they only show when she is in her own realm, and not when on the Earth plane? As it has her still flying, but never mentions the wings. I assume she has them, as the cover shows them. But other than that, I had no problems with this story at all.

I am anxious for the next book, AngelStone (Dark Angel #2)

I was able to connect really well with the main character Alyx, she is strong minded, and fierce, which I love to see in a female character.
I was not sure of Isreal at first, but he grew on me, but will say, I really like Jordan, he seems to care what happens to Alyx, and think there will be more to that in the future books.

Here is a cute part where Alyx first meet the mortal she is connected too, I thought it was funny:

"You're being here is no coincidence, is it?" His eyes narrow. "What are you?"
"What a silly question," Alyx says, trying not to let her panic show. "I'm a mortal just like you."
He grins. Alyx feels like an animal that has just been caught in a trap.
"Firstly," he says, "a real mortal would never call herself a `mortal'. And secondly, real mortals don't come falling out of the sky to land delicately on the ground. No, real mortals break bones doing things like that," he says this last sentence in a mock hush as if he was revealing some great secret. "Just keep that in mind when you try to pass yourself off as one of us next time."
Alyx's breath sticks in her throat, a strangled sort of cry.
But it only seems to amuse him further.

Angelfire is a truly good book by a very talented Author.

I was offered this book for review and I am so glad I have read it and fully intend to buy the rest of this series to follow Alyx, Isreal and the others on their journey. Also loving the angsty romance budding and hope there is more angst in the future.

Alyx is a Lightwarrior, not particulary gifted but an exceptional fighter. She has a troubled past, is stubborn and kicks ass more often than not. Still, its nice to see her flaws and weaknesses. Though Alyx has a very strong 'voice' throughout Angelfire, she can be indecisive and too trusting.

Alyx has been having visions of a man who is killing Darkened (demon spirits possessing human bodies) and through this link she develops a bond, called the Guardian-Bond, a rare thing to happen and with that comes emotions and feelings she doesnt understand. The night she feels him in danger and flies to rescue him marks the night that everything in Alyx's world is turned upside down. Those she has trusted all her life have lied to her, the teachings her Leaders have taught her have been fabricated and beneath it all is an evil plot and betrayers around every corner and Alyx is at the very centre of it. The man, Israel, she is Guardian-Bonded with is entwined with her destiny completely.

I love Alyx. She is the girl I would want to be best friends with, I would trust her with my life. She is strong and brave and fights to do what feels right. Hanna Peach has developed her so well, this delicate little warrior who is beautiful and stands tall in the middle of chaos, who is loyal and passionate about every decision she makes, who inspires others around her to be better.

5.0 out of 5 stars Get swept away in a world of angels, demons and magic! November 30, 2012
By Cr8jax
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
From the very beginning, this book drew me into a rich, complex and detailed world from which I didn't want to leave. Against the tapestry of demons, angels, magic and greater mysteries, I was so hooked on the trials and adventures of Alyx that I couldn't put it down. A great read. I can't wait for the next instalment!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome read June 12, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
Wow, wow, double wow. It is not easy or a writer to get a five star rating from me, yet Hanna Peach's Angelfire had me hooked from page 1. Loved the storyline and the writing is excellent. The writer's imagination takes you on a veritable joy ride with non stop action and emotional roller coaster rides. The subject matter is fresh and interesting; characters are three dimensional, their psychological growth leaves you begging for more. Enter a world in which lightwarriors are battling demons and a pub named Purgatory. Be embroiled in Alyx's life as she becomes the fulfillment of an age old prophecy. The novel has everything- paranormal, supernatural, magic, romance, action- a smorgasbord of delights, which leaves you craving more.I have dived directly into the second novel with no hesitation whatsoever. Angelstone promises even more delights!
Hanna Peach is a writer to take note of and when she publishes something, grab it before you lose out.
I loved it- so will you!
