Angels are very powerful allies in our lives. The most frequently asked questions to my "Seeking Answers" column are "Do I have an angel?" and "How do I contact my angel?" I wrote Angelheart to help people understand that indeed they do have angels who want them to confide and ask questions the way Lindsay does in my story. Everyone has a guardian and helper angels whose only missions are to help with life's challenges. They can be more effective if we communicate aloud or mentally. If you talk to yourself and get creative answers, you're on the right track! By enlisting angelic assistance, everyone can discover what awesomely powerful allies they have in life. While transcribing her husbands trance channeling sessions, JeanAnn became enthused by all the spiritual information they contained. Philosophies I had encountered did not line up with what was in my heart about spirituality. But the information coming through Tom was positive reinforcement of the ideas I'd had since forever. All the while I prepared the transcripts for publication of our book, Into Eternity, I felt there was a need to place these concepts into what might be called reality. There are countless classes available on how to do various metaphysical exercises, but few explain how to live them. Surely someone should write a book along those lines. With a meager journalism background with school newspapers she began dabbling with a simple little story about angels. A friend of mine who wrote for television figuratively threw her hands in the air after reading my first draft. She exclaimed I would have to gain years of writing experience in order to clean it up properly. Then another dear friend decided to exercise her prose expertise and attempted to school me in the art. Thankfully she was tenacious, because I was very naive and contentious, but she too finally gave up. By then my writing angels had begun getting through, and I took to heart what both friends had been trying to teach me about writing. Fortunately there is no time on the other side, so my writing angels had all the patience in the world with my struggle. When it was done, I was pleased to realize I had created a complex story depicting many metaphysical concepts. I presented it to a third friend whose angels were very active, just to see if my tale rang true to life. She made some very helpful suggestions that brought even more depth to the book. By the time it was all done, the process itself depicted the guiding influence angels have on our lives. This book is part of the reason I'm on earth this time, and there were many lined up both on Earth and the other side to help me make it a reality. Born a right-brained individual with the ability to conceptualize and implement a multitude of things (but no talent with right-brained numbers and such), I had been creating things all my life. A college art major, I tried secondary art teaching for a few years, but devoted my talent thereafter to finishing the basements of our houses, painting pictures, sewing my wardrobes, and constructing interior design items. All of these were hands-on construction projects with physical materials. But writing a book entails using very non-physical ideas as materiel. To my delight I discovered that tucked away somewhere in my soul was a talent for writing. Its a good thing I'm adventurous enough to try just about anything. Sometimes its great to be foolhardy, because blessings are sometimes bestowed on the fearless.
