Freeman believes that angels are "the guardians of this planet." Angelic Healing is a Christian book, not a New Age book. The author is a Christian woman, and her book is based on Biblical principles, without ever being polemical or critical of people who may hold other views. What she has to say about the need for forgiveness and giving up the fear in our lives is very valuable, and the stories of how God sent angels with "healing in their wings" are most inspirational, as is the author's own struggle with cancer. It helped me a lot.

Everyone has a guardian angel, which can be male or female. We come into this world for a purpose, and angels guide us along the way. Angels work with us, cooperate, and lead us to do God's intented work for us; we are a part of God. But, can we speak with angels? It takes a special gift from God. Talking with angels is possible for anyone with the deep wish to do so and the willingness to set aside negative thoughts and feelings. We must listen to them with our heart and not the mind. Let your listening extend to the sound that is furthest away. We can carry on a conversation; their anwers may come in words, or in a picture, even colors. The Bible says, "He shall give his angels charge over thee." That doesn't mean big,stately angels. Small ones with the flutter of tiny wings will do.

Can you have a relationship with angels? God answered Betty's prayer to send us help when we need it. We're being tested all the time and mujst learn to answer anger with love and acceptance. God is love, while Jesus wept. The best way to see an angel is to be an angel, acknowledge their presence and the uniqueness we all possess, persist with an open mind. Angels' love is uncondidtional. They make us feel cherished. There are healing angels, not with their touch, but by their mere presence. Mine looked exactly like Ligeia, twenty years before I ever heard of her. All she did was appear and look down on me as I was in a high fever. One came to a woman who had great pain and had to be in traction, but she was told by Jesus when he appeared in her doorway, "It will be alright."

In Jesus' time, incidents like his giving the sight to the blind man, were recognized as miracles. Today we simply call it divine intervention. Our concept of who God is must be discriminating. Most interaction with an angel is nonverbal as it is with communication with God or his son, Jesus. Entities come in disguises, as there are many types of angels. Angels never judge us but our desire if the big investment of the outcome. A young immigrant girl was having trouble making friends in America at her school. There was an aura in her room she could almost touch. Love such as she'd never felt before filled the space around her. "Jesus, is that You?" He answered, not with an audible voice, but with a love so tangible she felt hugged. His presence accompanied her to school on the bus, and even in gym class which she hated. Her positive attitude and friendly manner after that made her popular with the other girls and she was invited to join their groups. She felt that He had left her after showing her the value of friendship. "You will find me in my written Word and in so many different ways." He had provided her with faith and character; isn't that what a best friend would do? Something to ponder.

We may not be able to see angels, but you will know it when you've been contacted by an angel. After all, that is what our guardian angels are here for, to sit on our shoulders and comfort us through life's trial and sadness and allow us to see the sunshine through the clouds. I told my son Jeff once, "Sometimes you have to smile through your tears." It's just a part of life and growing old. We need angels then more than ever.
