A must have musical experence,
By A Customer
This review is from: Angelica (Audio CD)
The CD Angelica is a must have for all fans of guitar instremental. Although the voices of the women and men who perform on the album are absoulutly stunning, the guitar orcistration is what caught my ear the most. Steve Vai is an incredable guitar player, but what I liked most about Mr Vai's track was the understatemnet. His ability to boost the emotion level was pure genious. The most brilliant performance on the album goes to Eric Johnson. Hands down winner of the best solo on the entire CD. I am a bit biased because he is my favorate guitar player, however it does not cloud my ability to name the hands down winner for best song and solo. I highly recomend this album to anyone young and old that appricates fantastic orcistration and rich music.

I am not an opera or rock connoseur. But I know great music when I hear it...As soon as I heard the music as it was being recorded in the studio, I knew I had to have this CD...I LOVE "Un Bel Di". The beat is just so catchy and the voice of the soprano is so beautiful...

Opera with rock arrangements at its best!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Angelica (Audio CD)
A fantastic opera perfomance combined with modern guitar and electronic arrangements. Particularly Lori Stinson's voice is of highest standard. Should attract anybody who loves opera and are not afraid of some novel musical arrangements. Probably also those who have not yet understood the highlights of opera would learn to like this genre after listening to this CD. The only minus side is that the instrumentals sometimes over-ride the voices in the mixing.
