How to play, snapshot!
After setting up the grand stage, mix up all of the star cards and Dance move cards and place them in two separate piles next to the game board. On your turn, spin the spinner and move Angelina (every player gets to be Angelina). Follow the instructions on the space you land on. If you land on the New Move space, take the Dance move card and place it on the stage and try out the dance move. If you land on the Practice space stand up and practice all the dance moves on stage, and collect a star card for each move you perform correctly. If you land on any other space, take the number of star cards shown on the space. When each player has performed, look at your star cards. The player with the most trophies of the same color is the winner.

The music cd is a great add on to the game.

All in all, it is a fun game that could have used a few tweaks, but you can easily make those tweaks on your own.

Lots of fun for any age and non-dancers too.

My daughter has reached that stage where ballet classes are right around the corner. She has become obsessed with the idea of being a dancer and has come to love the Angelina Ballerina movies she's been renting from the library. So, when I saw this the other day I couldn't help but feel compelled to buy it for her. She is in love with it! It really is a very cute idea, and one that has eternal replay value because the game changes (ever so slightly) with each playtime.

As a whole, I find the conceptualized gameplay to be a tad underthought. The actual intended gameplay design doesn't really merit the desired results, but if you make a few minor tweaks to the way YOU play the game then you can really have a great time. The idea of sharing the same gamepiece (everyone plays Angelina and takes turns moving her across the board) is kind of silly. It reduces the amount of gameplay time because by the time each player has had two or three turns (depending on the amount of kids playing) the piece has reached the end of the board and the game is over. I also found the idea of collecting the star cards to be underthought. The gameboard is too small to really make collecting the star cards advantageous. If you land on the star card spaces too much then you miss the dance cards and you could reach the end of the board and have only added two dance positions to your `show' and not really have much to do as a whole, so it really should have either expanded the gameboard and come up with another way to work in the star cards. Besides, there really shouldn't be an idea of `winning' in this game, since the objective is for all the kids involved to dance the same dance in the end. They are playing the same game and using the same gamepeice, so why should one kids `win'?

As we got into it my son and daughter liked to try to do the dance moves to see if they could do them and remember them for the grand finale. I think the quality of the board is very good and I also loved how everyone used the same game piece. However, I suggest playing with just 2 players because it dosen't take long to get to the end of the game with four people. The music cd is a great add on to the game. I think families will love to play this together, as we did. The boys even got up and tried the dance move to get their trophies.

I received Angelina Ballerina Dance With Me Game from Wonder Forge. Opinions are my own.

The cd has 3 cute catchy songs, we enjoyed the music. My 3 yr old didn't quite catch on to the game but I had fun and once she gets a little older will enjoy it too.

I bought this for my 5 year old for her birthday. The idea is to spin and move along the board and follow the directions. Either you get to pick a dance card, practice the dance, or collect a different colored star card. At the end the person with the most star cards wins. The problem is that my daughter gets frustrated if all she gets to do is pick a star card. She wants to dance! Also, she is not old enough to know these moves yet (although she has been in ballet for a few years) and the card is just a picture of one part of the move. So even though we have changed the rules so we can pick more dance cards and practice them together I'm not sure if we're doing them right and I'm not sure she's really learning anything or there's any value to playing the game. I wish this was a video game or wii game. At least then she could watch the dancer on the screen and have the music along with it. The music cd is nice but it's a pain to keep turning the music on and off for every dance so we skip it until the end.

As far as durability, the game board is flimsy as far as the stage is set up and the big dance cards fall down as there is nothing to hold them in place. I wouldn't recommend this game to friends.

This is our second purchase for a birthday gift. It will have to involve an adult as the younger crowd can't read the cards, but the girls we've given to really seem to enjoy it.

I bought this for my twin 4 yo nieces since they love Angelina Ballerina. They love this thing too!!! It was such a cute game. My favorite part is that it works with their memory skills in an interactive way that gets them to get up and move. I can't wait until my baby girl is old enough to play games so I can buy it for her too!
