Angels On Assignment: Angels Are Coming To Earth Today

Consider two prophetic predictions made by the author:

Rev. R.H. Buck (of the famous Buck knife family) passed away on November 06, 1979, long ago and had no way of knowing if his predictions would come true.

First, on page 93, Buck claims the Holy Spirit told him: "...I have already given wings to my messages brought to you by the angel of the Lord."

Then, on page 70, Buck claims "God told me the pope has no more influence with him than the least of his saints, and has no greater privileges, but because his influence with man is great, his choice is God's concern. Therefore, in order to help in the restoration of his fragmented body, God had chosen a man named Karol Wojtyla of Poland. This prophecy was fulfilled October 16, 1978, when he began his reign as Pope John Paul II."

Now, there's no way of proving God told Buck about the Pope before his selection. However, Buck, who died in 1979, had no way of knowing whether or not John Paul would even *live* after being selected, let alone be so influential -for over almost 30 years! -until John Paul's death on April 02, 2005, just two days after the passing of Terri Schiavo. Even quite a few Protestants, Jews, and Muslims think highly of John Paul, so it is safe to say Buck's prophecy came true.

Also, while there are many other angel books, it's safe to say that his other prediction has come true: Angels on Assignment is one of the classic books, and is circulated world-wide. Both prophecies came true.

I first read this book when I was much younger, and, as I recall, I couldn't put in down until I was finished. Clearly, this is a subject that fascinates most people! (Here, we find the account of an old country preacher, who didn't really want to cause any controversy or undo the years of hard work he had building up his ministry, suddenly telling of speaking with the Archangels, Michael and Gabriel, and other angels, not mentioned in scripture but who he claims visited him: Chrioni, apparently a warring angel who is Gabriel's bodyguard, and an angel of worship named Cyprion.)

What impressed me most initially was the fact that the preacher was an old man with health conditions and knew he probably had only a few more years, thus I don't feel he had a motive to profit by lying. In fact, as I recall, he did not even try to write a book. Charles and Frances Hunter came to HIM and offered to write a book. Later, I was able to reflect on what he had claimed the angels told him, and I was glad my background in the Bible was strong.

(Also impressive is the fact that his accounts of the many private things he told about people, things revealed to him by angels, has NEVER been refuted in the press, and I've followed this case for years: I think it's true!)

First, he never says that we should try to seek contact with angels, and this seems correct to me, because the Bible forbids us to practice witchcraft or divination or communication with the spirit world.

One very important point that I must make is that the pastor does not preach down to people; he is very compassionate and shows love towards all, whether they deserve it or not, but he does not ever compromise Holy Standards and say that anything goes and just anything is OK.

Also importantly, he underscores that the Angels tell us that we should not seek Angels because Jesus is far greater than any angel!

A later book by his daughter included contributions from the whole family and others to show that this man was a sincere person who loved people and was not irresponsible or given to fads.

One thing that is real unusual is that after about twenty-five long years of being in print, I felt God calling me to buy his book in case it went out of print or otherwise became unavailable (the book I had was my mom's, not mine). When I eventually got around to looking for it online, I discovered that at almost the exact time that I felt the urge to buy it, the book (and a sequel by his daughter) became available for free online. What coincidence that just when I would try to find it online, it be newly put up after a quarter century! (I downloaded a free copy anyhow, but purchased the a hard copy because it was cheaper than printing out the one I had downloaded.)

You can look at any claim that Pastor Buck makes and line it up with the word of God, and it does not contradict the Holy Bible!
For example, when he says that the angels told him a major implication of God being omnipresent: The Holy Spirit (Also God) constantly monitors the whole world and knows if one sparrow drops dead to the ground, and additionally can send instructions in real time to angels to address any problem that may exist. This not only gives new meaning to God is "all present, all powerful, all knowing, etc.," but also does not contradict scripture.

He says that he is not trying to make you believe him, merely telling what he saw as he was asked to do by God, and he says that he hopes that the reader draws closer to God as a result of his testimony of what he experiences.

Lastly, "Don't forget to show hospitality to strangers, for some who have done this have entertained angels without realizing it!" Hebrews 13:2 New Living Translation; see also: Genesis 18:1-3 about Abraham and Genesis 19:1-3 about Lot. (They met undercover angels!)

This book is a very inspiring -and very trustworthy book. That is probably one reason it was a top seller and remains very popular to this day. I highly recommend it.

I found nothing in Sr. Pastor Buck's accounts of angelic encounters to be in conflict with Scripture; and give his exciting look into God's military OP forces the highest recommendation; this revealing account of Michael and God's fighting forces; Gabriel and other "chief of staff" communicators, is indeed awesome and delightful; packed full of insights and life-enriching points and pointers. Pastor Buck also delves into God's throne room system including preplanning all details of all persons' lives; God's record-keeping system, etc., etc. No other book has as much inside info on angel activities; nor as wide a scope. God obviously set it all up so we eventually would pick up and use what Rev. Buck experienced to enrich our understanding of how much God loves people and recognize some of the depth of His love by peeking in on how much activity goes on behind the scenes to demonstrate his love and support for His highest level of creation: people. I believe an even far-larger audience is yet to be exposed to Rev. Buck's account; somehow this storyline is going to be multiplied exponentially in the near future to reach huge masses of people and encourage them to study and read God's ultimate message in the Holy Bible.

Like others I read the book years ago, and loaned and lost it; then when online www.shopping became possible, located another used copy here at Amazon and got back what I had lost; hanging on much tighter this time to a real keepsake item.

Get a copy if you haven't and check it out for yourself; a rare book indeed: a fascinating, exciting inside look at such things as the size, features, personality, and dress style of Michael, God's Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman of Military Operations; even including his own comments on how General Michael looks forward to arresting and "jailing" rebel Prince Lucifer at the takeover of the world system by CEO Jesus; Gabriel's communication operations to carry God's messages and instructions to people such as Daniel, Mary, Elizabeth, Paul, etc. There is so much good stuff between the covers that you never heard of before on the mechanics and details of angelic activity, that you won't want to put down the book until you learn everything Rev. Buck has to share on this most-interesting topic.

My sister called me in sept 79 and said you have to get this book angels on assignment. She said we just saw Roland Buck and he is real. The most humble man she had ever seen. I don't even like to read but when i finally found the book, it only took me 4 days to read. I bought 10 or more and gave them away. The book last i heard had been translated into more than 15 languages to spread around the world. I talked with Roland after I read the book. He could hear the excitement. He said to me "It's the message not the messenger." That was the same thing that the Angel Gabriel had told him too. Rolland had a bad heart before he saw any Angels but somehow made it thru over 16 Angelic visitations and saw the 120 things that God gave him come to pass and experienced food and drink from Heaven that sustained him. Yes Angels are on Assignment here on earth today. Roland always felt so unworthy to be in their midst. They always had a message right from the Throne of God. They had just come from his presence. That's the love that God has for you and me. This book is a must read. I have always wanted to go to Boise Idaho ever since reading that book in sept 79. That same month we conceived our first daughter that God answered prayer for us after childless for 5yrs. It revived me. My Soul came alive from all of the Scripture that was in the book. Thank you our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

I would like to start out this review by saying that if you have never read this book you are in for a Heavenly treat. This is one of the most awsome books I have ever read. In fact I have read it several times and I get blessed each time. Frances Hunter asked me a couple years ago to do a book review on Angles On Assignment and I'm just now getting around to it. I remember the first time that I read the book and there are things in there that you probalby have never heard about actually happening. After reading it I knew that all of it had to be true but didn't really think that it would ever happen to me. Some time after I read the book I was in the country fishing at a small lake. I started singing to God while fishing. All of a sudden I heard the most beautiful musical instruments and people singing in the most beautiful voices. I couldn't make out where it was coming from. All of a sudden I look up toward Heaven and I saw Angels shoulder to shoulder above the horizon singing and playing musical instruments. It was the most awsome music I had ever heard. All of the angels were wearing white and I realized that I was having a visitation from angels. A whole bunch of them at one time. After I read Angels On Assignment I expected somewhat that I would encounter angels someday but didn't know when or where or even how. Thanks for a great book that is so encouraging and uplifting. I really believe to this day that God used that book to prepare me for Angelic activities. Since then I have had several more encounters with angels. This book helps answer some of life's biggest questions, such as what happens after death? ... etc. Reading Angels on assignment gives one a peek into the heart of God. After reading it, I learned that God loves us even more than I ever thought.

My Husband and I read Angels On Assignment many years ago and from time to time have reread it. It made such an impact especially on my Husband that it literally changed our lives for the better. We came to realize how much God is interested in every detail of our lives and how much He truly knows and loves us.

The Seven Priorities of God that is mentioned in the book is what made an impact in our lives, and, after over twenty years it is a fresh and alive word for us even today. Here are the Seven Priorities: 1) The Blood of Jesus 2) Fellowship and Communion With God 3) Jesus Is Alive 4) The Promise Of The Holy Spirit 5) Go Tell The World 6) Atonement Of Jesus Is Everlasting 7) The Return Of Jesus. Interestingly, these priorities relate to the Seven Feasts of Israel which Pastor Roland Buck also mentions in the book.

We found this book to be totally in agreement with scripture. We encourage you to read it prayerfully and with an open and sincere heart. Angels are still on assignment on our behalf. They are just following God's orders.

There is one part in the book that really touched our hearts, and that was when Pastor Roland Buck and the Angels were worshipping God. It was so awesome!

it was 1981...a dear friend shared this book with me and my then husband. he and I'd become Born Again Christians... we lived in norfolk, VA at the time and I was getting ready to drive home to ny for a visit while he was leaving for a one month naval cruise. I had decided to bring the book home to share it with my family.(I was raised jewish and I felt the need to share God's messages with them.) my brother in law was driving WITH me to help me with my young son. unfortunately, my husband took the book with HIM... along the way, our car broke down in South Salisbury Maryland, on the highway. directly across from us was a man on his tractor in a huge pumpkin patch. (mr. alfred was his name) to make a long story very short...this wonderful man (out of the goodness of his heart), along with his tractor, towed us to his property, took us to a motel, THEN drove us to the airport, the next evening so we could take a plane home to ny. (we had called my pop in law and he sent us extra money for extra expenses.) all this time, it had bothered me that I did NOT have the book in my possession. so...NOW, we're at the airport, it's almost midnite and my son, a very energetic 10 1/2 month old, was walking,(holding on to the seats)..going from seat to seat to seat...(you get the idea).... well....he gets to a little table (at the end of the row of seats) that had magazines on it and one book....the book was 'angels on assignment' I could NOT believe it! I opened it to look for proof of ownership. in fact, there was NO ONE to be found in the area we were sitting! we were the ONLY THREE THERE! you KNOW I took the book and put it in my bag! needless to say....i KNEW a miracle had occured! i KNEW God had sent us through that WHOLE adventure JUST so I could find the book and bring it home to my family! another strange thing happened afterwards. after my family got to read it, the book MYSTERIOUSLY disappeared! thats' the condensed version of what happened to us! all these years, I've thought about this book and felt the need to share it's contents with others.....NOW I'm getting the chance...I'M buying it from amazon! it'll really bring you closer to God and warm your spirit!

I read this book many years ago and will read it again. One reviewer claims the book is non-biblical, but I was impressed with how biblical Angels On Assignment is. I'm always skeptical of claims like Pastor Buck's, but his book certainly squares with the Bible, unless I missed something. After reading this book, I felt very encouraged about God's interest in each of us.
