I found Angel's Coffin at my local bookstore while looking for a single volume manga with a dark plot. What initially got me to pick it up was the title because it sounded like it had the potential to have a darker story than all of the other single volume manga I'd come across. Then I saw the cover art and found it to be very attractive. I was tempted to buy it based on the title and cover art alone, but I actually ended up putting it down and walking away. The reason was because I was worried it would start out as the dark story I wanted only to degenerate into a fluffy fairy tale where everyone lived happily ever after. Eventually I made up my mind to try it anyway.

I'm glad I did decide to try it. The plot didn't quite have the dark tone I'd been looking for, but it definitely wasn't a happy high school romance. Throughout the book I was constantly wondering what would become of Seto and Marie. I personally really liked the character of Seto, so while reading I kept wanting to know what would happen to him, which had me finishing the volume in one go.

If you want something happy and uplifting I would stay away from this. However, if you enjoy a sad/dark story then you may want to give Angel's Coffin a try.

This story is very sad but well written.I highly suggest it to anyone who likes a little history in their manga.

it was a good book with some historical details, basically the story revolves around a girl named Marie who accidently sets a demon free from a book and the demon is supposed to make sure her soul goes to hell but his personal feeling interfere with the relationship between Marie and the prince of Austria. This is a tragedy so forewarning to those who don't like sad endings, the reason i gave 4 stars is i did not like how abrupt the ending was i think there should have been more storyline
