4.0 out of 5 stars Good things come in small packages
The designs in this book are very nice but there aren't very many of them! Good variety of angels and range of designs from beginner to experienced.

2.0 out of 5 stars Angels
Look carefully at the angels on the cover. If you like those angels then chances are you'll like this book. If you don't, then don't buy it with the hope there's better angels inside.

Look carefully at the angels on the cover. If you like those angels then chances are you'll like this book. If you don't, then don't buy it with the hope there's better angels inside.

Unfortunately I made that mistake. I bought this book for my mother who's been looking around for a nice angel to cross stitch and I'd hoped that she would like this. I suppose if she'd been looking for a quick, cartoony and non-traditional angel to stitch then this would have been the book for her but she was looking for something a bit more traditional and pretty.

The angel on the centre of the cover is the prettiest one in the book, but her chart spans two pages. The rest of the designs are simple and cartoony. The wings are not very detailed and most of them are carrying objects. I personally didn't like them, in fact the cherubs in what looked like diapers had both me and my mother in fits of laughter we thought they were so ugly, but if you squint and look at the cover you can already see them there.

The instructions in the book are good though and the charts are nice and well laid out. The angels themselves just weren't to my, or my mother's, taste.

Colorful book with good instructions, however I found the designs to be a little simplistic for an experienced stitcher. I usually prefer more realistic designs. The book did have a good variety of designs and was well worth the money.
