Truly Annointed and Educational,
By Melanie Faith Guido (Vacaville, California United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Angels Dark and Light (Paperback)
Kinnaman explains that ignorance is one of the enemy's greatest strategies to keeping Christians and non-Christians oblivious to attacks. When I first read "Angels Dark and Light," I was very young in the Lord and spiritual warfare was just a vague summary of an even more vague Ephesians 6:12. As I read further and further (and believe you me, coming across this book was intended by someone greater than myself!), I had so many questions and mental "Aha!"'s that helped me seek guidance from my pastor, spiritual beacons within the church, and, of course, from the Lord. I have recently went back to the book, after being delivered of many demonic attacks, to compare and contrast if those questions were answers as well as to parallel experiences. Kinnaman is a great guide to those who want to know more about the difference between dark (bad) and light (good) angels, what they "do for a living," and how all of this comes together in the art of spiritual combat, concluding where our humanistic roles as Christians lie. Kinnaman's information and message is definatley annointed. Don't let the lack of knowledge catch you opening doors to unwanted guests and feelings! To have wisdom is to have greater discernment. As Kinnaman says in chapter 13 of this book, "What you don't know CAN hurt you!" ((if you're wondering why I gave it a four, it's only because I wanted more pages in the book! I was left wanting more!))

Great book!,

Garys book Angels Dark and Light is a very informative piece of litterature. Any chrstian or non-christian who would like to know more about angels I incourage you to read this book to better understand the spirtual beings that we can and canot see that are around us at all times. Gary gives great description of his own experience with angelic forces along with dark angelic encounters that many of us could be faced with if led down the wrong path. I have nothing but good comments about the way he uncovers the angelic moroni message the mormons teach. Again an awsome book!

This was such an awesome find. I actually bought a second book and gave it to a friend. This book had so much incredible information about angels. I have been fascinated with angels since my youth. I have a huge library on angels and Gary Kinnaman book has been instrumental in my research. He gives an in-depth look into the existence of these celestial beings. I can never read this book enough. In fact everytime I pick it up I discover soemthing new.

Earns Points for Not sounding "Preachy",
By Mark Alfred "http://markssuperblog.blogspot.com/" (Oklahoma City, OK) - See all my reviews (REAL NAME)
This review is from: Angels Dark and Light (Paperback)
I agree with the other reviewers that this book is well-written and spiritually sound.
What God has said in the Bible is the grounds for judging the truth or falsity of anything, especially things like angels, which have such a surrounding cloud of folk beliefs and just plain wrong ideas about them. However, it is truly refreshing in this book that, while scripturally sound and level-headed in his inferences about angels, Kinnaman doesn't use the dialect I call "church-speak." There's a whole jargon used mainly by Christians that, unless you are in the know, is just plain weird-sounding. "Led of the Lord." "Oppressed in my spirit." "It ministered to me." "Angels: Dark and Light" is refreshing in that Kinnaman stays clear of such language. Not that its use is wrong, but talking like this is exclusionary. It can shut out the very people that Christians are trying to reach with the Gospel! My prayer is that lots of unchurched folks may come across this book and learn that the whole New-Age love-the-angels paradigm is woefully ill-informed. I'm gratified that everyday people can read this book and not find "churchspeak" in it. The book is in regular English, and that makes it readable to all! |
