I have many, many healing and new age tapes. I am a massage therapist and use it in my work. This is truly some of the most beautiful music I have ever heard. Very uplifting and transendental. You feel embraced in wonder , magic and love.

Transports you to a different world. . .,

This cd is simply amazing. I sampled a few tracks at a record store and bought it on the spot. This music transports me to thoughts and images of undersea worlds (perhaps suggested by the title)and one can truly envision whales and images of undersea life gently swimming through deep blue ocean waters. Calming, inspiring, moving. Best track is #3, "Prayer", which just brings me to tears! Get this cd!

To the Tips of Your Toes to the Top of Your Head..and Beyond,
This review is from: Angels of the Deep (Audio CD)
Simply put, quite fantastic. It is New Age music without all the nonsense. Sometimes "healing music" can be quite obnoxious. Bells clanging, weird synthezier groans, inappropriate nature sounds during inappropriate times, etc. But this music is just lovely and very, very gratifying. I had a dinner party and I just hit the repeat button and it played all night long and nobody found it disturbing or redundant or boring. All I kept hearing was, "Oh, what pretty music! I want to buy this... I feel like I'm being cleansed..." And I think the object of music is to refresh and inspire and leave one feeling a little better than before the music started. I'm not into angry, hate filled music. I'm into anything that has soul...anything that speaks to the inner spirit and this music definetely conveys a powerful non verbal message to mind, body, and spirit. It's a great album.

Dreamy and Emotional,

I'm an American living in Switzerland and stumbled on Raphael in Seville, Spain! I had never heard of him and bought the album on a hunch. I'd give it 3 stars except for for cut #3, "Prayer", which has an unusually strong effect on me, evoking feelings of sadness and yearning, especially when the CD artwork is viewed as I listen. Most comparable music, feeling wise, for me is certain cuts on "Deep Breakfast" by Ray Lynch. I'm curious about Music to Disappear In.

If you have ever dreamed of swimming with whales....,

...you may live the experience through the music of Raphael and his "Angels of the Deep" cd. I have listened to many cds of this nature and to me there is none that come closer to actually embracing the "angels of the deep" than this. If you have a sincere love of nature or just hold an amazement for the wonders of the sea..this music should be part of your collection!

"Sublimely contemplative and stunningly poetic."---New Age Retailer,
This review is from: Angels of the Deep (Audio CD)
Raphael's "Angel's of the Deep" is a lovely, soulful, tranquil composition that sincerely soothes and profoundly comforts. It embodies a purity and an otherworldly love gleaming inside that undeniably radiates out while listening. The instruments used in the cd are: synthesizers, shakti harp and guitar, flute (I love it on "Remembrance"), congas and udu. The first track begins with ocean breezes and unbelievably gorgeous synthesizers and crescendos to the songs of whales and/or dolphins. The music as a whole flows effortlessly as every single track is so unfathomably Beautiful. All the track names are so ethereal, I love that. If you like heavenly sounding music, you will thoroughly enjoy Angels of the Deep. Sitting here, taking my time listening to each track, I appreciate it all the more and I didn't think that was possible. Recently, I played it to aid my studying for my summer A & P II final exam because it supplied me with peace and surrounded me with light and love--just what I needed during all those long hours of study. I'd keep starting it over as needed and just found out tonight that it [AOTD,] along with a merciful, Christian teacher and God (as always) guiding me, I received an A in the class! I know "Angels of the Deep" had its part in keeping my mind calm, my soul relaxed and my heart overflowing with beauty to help me absorb the material.
I love new age music. I don't own a lot, but the ones I do have are very special. I believe I was meant to have them. Many of them are gifts and/or they "found me." Here's hoping this finds a place in your home and heart like it has mine. AOTD is divinely and eternally distinct and should grow in your heart with each listen. If you're a lover of Beauty, a "new age" music lover or a lover of "all things ocean," it is a must own. o8E Soar!

Angels are too deep,

I'm a massage therapist, and Raphael's music to disappear in and music to disappear in II have been among my massage music favorites. Angel's of the deep, however, was a little new-agey for me. It lacks much of the musicality of the previous two. If you like your music deep-space, you might enjoy this one. Myself, I prefer the rhythms and moods of Raphael's earlier work.

My God/Goddess - what beautiful music - I have certainly heard beautiful, etherial New Age Music before, but this one really transports you to where WE ALL SHOULD BE SPIRITUALLY. I don't know why, but IT MAKES ME CRY. Maybe because it brings you so close to who WE REALLY ARE, and you want to go there, instead of being in this physical plane. EXQUISITE MUSIC

Multi-level healing music.,

One of those bizarre experiences. I've owned "Angels of the Deep" for a while now, and it sits in my 200 slot CD player. 2 days ago I had a traumatic event where I got bitten by a large dog, injuring both my hands. As I was sitting on my couch today listening to healing "Atmospheres" music on cable radio, my CD player came on by itself and started playing in shuffle mode. I switched my receiver to see what it was playing, and it was the 3rd song on "Angels of the Deep". This music was not just healing or relaxing, like a lot of new age music is, but also filled with deep emotion and spirituality. I started bawling, and I knew that my Divine self was trying to touch me. This is no ordinary music!

I am not a fan of newage music, and have no idea what drove me to buy this CD when I saw it on the shelf; maybe my love of water. Then I listened and immediately knew; this isn't your usual synthesized, sickly sweet, faux naturale new age music. This is a masterpiece, beautifully orchestrated and performed. It is honestly the best healing medicine on my shelf of 1500 CD's. Don't hesitate. You need this one.
