2nd Release Shows Off Talent
on June 14, 2014
Sarah Darling has a bunch of talent to show you and this 2 CD set shows it off. About the only negative would be why it wasn't just one CD since all tracks would fit on one CD.
Sarah breaks from the mold. From my radio side, I added Angels & Devils because it blended so well with the format. In fact by the first refrain, the backup band sounds more like U2 than anybody else (aka, ain't no cookie cutter country) and lyrically so country that the two work nicely. You can ever hear her cover of U2's With or Without You.
From the bouncy and fun Something To Do With Your Hands to the dynamic cover of Elton John's Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word, you get a good variety of original music and a couple of nice covers that demonstrate Sarah can weave around music labels with a sleekness that amazes and can only be pulled off by a true talent. You hear a voice that can scream a whisper, belt out a lung buster and in the next breath challenge a musical legend with believable credibility. Her range makes you say "How can that come out of her?".
In short Sarah is pretty amazing yet just familiar enough to be comfortable. Hopefully here career is just one break away from ultimate stardom.
Join me at some point in the future when we say we knew of her back when...
