5.0 out of 5 stars Goregous
I've been a long time fan of Hed Kandi before Mark Doyle left and when he did, I immediately became a Fierce Angel girl from the very first Fierce Angel album. Although, I still am a Hed Kandi fan, they really have their work cut out for them now, especially in Chill. This is an absolutely goregous chill album. I bought it the first week it was out and I'm still listening...

2.0 out of 5 stars This is NOT like the Winter Chill series
Dont believe the hype! The Angels Falls CDs are not that similar to the Winter Chill series (the latter of which is prob my favorite 'chill' collection of all time!!!) I bought both Angels Fall and Angels Fall 2 in the same purchase base on the review of a few ppl who had said this was similar to Hed Kandi's Winter Chill, though I was a little worried since neither of the...

5.0 out of 5 stars Goregous, April 3, 2007
This review is from: Angels Fall: 40 Tracks from the Cutting Edge of Chill (Audio CD)
I bought it the first week it was out and I'm still listening to it! With 3CDs and 13-14 songs in each CD, there is a wide area of Chill covered in Angels Fall. My personal favorites are "Sophia" by Nerina Pallot, "Little Things" by James Bright feat. Rachel Lloyd, "Warm Feels Warm" by Elektralow, "Warm" by Samantha Marais, "Fancy Robots" by Justine Electra, "Maybe" by Kaskade, "Hide Me" by Grandad Bob, and can seriously go on and on.

When it comes to Chill, I seriously doubt any other person could match Mark Doyle when it comes to compliations. I'm a Dance/Electroncia addict and I listen to many complications from other labels. None of them compare. Very Highly Recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Quality laid back tracks, March 27, 2007

This review is from: Angels Fall: 40 Tracks from the Cutting Edge of Chill (Audio CD)
I have been a big fan of the Hed Kandi Winter Chill albums for years. This compilation is perhaps the best chill album I have ever bought. Nicely collected mixture of vocal and instrumental tracks from a the mellow type of songs to the smiling tunes. Although I have had the CD's for 3 months, I have not been able to stop listening to them.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous chillin' tunes, May 31, 2007

A great mix of songs that I use to relax after a long day of work. Favorites so far are Nightminds (disc 1), Starlight (disc 2) and Dice (disc 2). This is one of those compilations that I listen to over and over again, finding more great songs each listen. I highly recommend this cd for fans of Electronica and Trance.

Dont believe the hype! The Angels Falls CDs are not that similar to the Winter Chill series (the latter of which is prob my favorite 'chill' collection of all time!!!) I bought both Angels Fall and Angels Fall 2 in the same purchase base on the review of a few ppl who had said this was similar to Hed Kandi's Winter Chill, though I was a little worried since neither of the the AF listings let me listen to sample selections. Well, after purchasing both, i soon realized i was NOT listening to chill lounge, but more to folk music. Yes, like Winter Chill its mostly chick vocals, which is great, but the songs themselves are very folksy. They are missing the seduction, sexiness, or rhythm and beats of the Winter Chill selections. Out the total of 6 CD (close to 90 songs i guess) i found maybe 12 that I liked even a little--hardly a comparison to the any of the three Winter Chill sets that I can definitely play straight through without skipping any tracks. If you can, i recommend searching for a site that will let you sample the tracks before buying. Looks like my Winter Chill sets are one-of-a-kind, as I have yet to find any new 'chill' compilations that compare...

Great collection. Has three separate CDs and each has a slightly different feel depending on the mood. Wish there was another one this good, but haven't found one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, interesting, catchy, August 9, 2009

Angels Fall is a truly successful laid back set of songs. It stays within the theme of downtempo/chill/lounge (for the most part) and won't grate with sudden dance music intrusions! I love this one and know I'll keep this one forever. If you like background music that demands to be pulled into the foreground, this one is a safe bet!

4.0 out of 5 stars A new chill CD from a master of the genre, March 29, 2007

This review is from: Angels Fall: 40 Tracks from the Cutting Edge of Chill (Audio CD)
A very good entry into the "Angels" line and one that I've been looking forward to. It's a very solid chill out album, with some truly exceptional tracks. I still can't get "Why" from disc 1 out of my head.
However, some of the tracks are familiar. This is, of course, a function of the genre and the more chill out cds one owns the more compounded the problem gets. Still, I would recommend this disc to anyone.

1.0 out of 5 stars Girlie Acoustic Chill, August 2, 2008

This is definately not Hed Kandi "Serve Chilled"...nothing close. If I was a girl that just found out that my long term boyfriend cheated on me...maybe I would listen to this. No wonder it's not avail. w/ amazon listening.
