5.0 out of 5 stars Biker tales of hedonism and prophecy. . ., December 13, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Angels from Hell (The angel chronicles) (Paperback)
Having picked this compilation up on a whim whilst on holiday in New York, I have to confess that my expectations were minimal. However, what a novel surprise. A collection of witty, prophetic biker stories, written with flare and an almost frighteningly accurate eye for the future political climate. Apparently these books were first written in the 70's, however they foreshadow the rise of Reganism, Draconian measures undertaken against youth culture in Britain during the 80's, even 'Queer Politics'. They are a riveting read, a reet good laff, and some other 'r' word alliteration I'm sure. (Rollicking?). Read them.

4.0 out of 5 stars Interesting take on the notorious motorclyce club, September 2, 2011
This review is from: Angels from Hell (The angel chronicles) (Paperback)
I read this compilation several years ago. It was surprisingly entertaining, taking the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club into futuristic Britain. Written in the early 1970's, "the future" is not defined, but it's not too much different from the 1980's or 1990's. These four books are like a cross between bikers & A Clockwork Orange.
